Last night my friend's car was illegally towed while parked outside of Coaches Pub Midtown where we were watching Dynamo game and having drinks. Address below:

When we left the bar after consuming drinks (receipt to prove it), we realized our car had been either stolen or towed during the time we were inside. We went back into the restaurant to ask for explanations to our server Jason. He did not look surprised at all (very suspicious behavior, possibly an accomplice) and said that he had nothing to do with it and that there are cameras all over to check the property in case anybody parks there without going into one of the many business located on the parking lot. He said he could not help us other than giving us the storage parking lot phone number. However he also said that there would be images to prove whether we were at fault or not and to contact Jet Wrecker Service and ask to speak to Mike if we wanted to fight it.

The car had to be retrieved from (had to pay $10 for taxi):

At the storage location, there is only a very uneducated woman who is super rude and behind a bullet proof glass. It is obvious the scam artist places a woman there because it's harder to confront her if you are a respectable person. She refused to accept credit card which by law is illegal and forced us to pay debit. When verbally confronted she started cursing and asking my friend's off the property (we have a video as proof). The charge to retrieve the car was outrageous given the car sat there only an hour at most. It was $218.30!

The towing company itself JET WRECKER SERVICE has no address listed but only a P.O. box listed on the receipt to attempt getting away from complaints (typical scam behavior). Luckily google reports the address which I intend to visit tomorrow with a police officer. We also know the name of the driver RAUL 16870.

I first tried to call the number this morning and asked the assistant to speak to a manager or Mike. She said he was not there, and whether I could leave a number to be called back. I gave the number and told her either they call me back today, or I will proceed legally against all three entities (Coaches Pub Midtown, Jet Wrecker, and Metro Vehicle Storage). Of course she did not call me back. I waited until the afternoon when I tried again. Mike was now on the other line and she asked again for my number. I told her I would call back in 10 minutes. From that point on, every time I would try to call they would switch me automatically to voice mail without a chance to talk to anybody and they continued to do so until the end of office hours.

It is obvious that:

1. There are no cameras that can prove whether I left the parking lot or not
2. There is no chance to dispute regardless of the fact that I have a receipt to prove I was at Coaches Pub Midtown
3. Jet Wrecker Service is a scam artist as reported before on this same website by other people

I encourage everyone to file a police report and pay the $20 for a hearing. Most lilkely they will not show up to court and even if they do they certainly have no proves of wrong doing. Remember TOW COMPANIES are NOT THE POLICE. They have no right to confiscate your private property. Bring them to justice.

You shouldn't be worried though since you have "videos" :-)

It will be a lot of fun to put you out of business Mike Knight! Guess you will have to find another ILLEGAL way to make ends meet when you are charged with PREDATORY towing.

BTW, nice try with the fake account trying to post as another "towed" victim trying to back up your right for PREDATORY TOWING. Too bad for you I am not born in Pearland, TX so I am a little smarter than what you may think.

They have one camera only on the front site. We were parked in the very back of the side parking lot which by the way was basically empty. It was night and most of the businesses there are closed. There is no way there is a video proving anything. The only reason why they know who I was with is because they do PREDATORY TOWING which is an ILLEGAL practice and there are laws against it.

Towed person if he doesn't have video then why would they tell you file a tow hearing?And how do they know who was with you? I don't know all of what happened but I don't understand why they would tell you to file if they know they will lose? And I do know that the property does in fact have cameras I have been towed from there before. I wasn't happy about if I learned my expensive lesson and now I read the signs before I park. Hey just be grateful the City of Houston is the one who sets the towing fee it could of been a lot worse. My night out with my girls turned into a half week of pay. Drinks $30.00, Cab $10.00 and Tow fee priceless!

Hey MIKE KNIGHT is this what it takes to get you to get back to people trying to get in touch with you? Too bad for you the receipt has my credit card number on it. The credit card company will easily verify that it's not fake. I bet you didn't think about that, uh? How are you going to explain that to the judge buddy?

Now the video tape can be fake, that is for sure. However, I don't have to worry about that, because you have no video to prove anything since you have no cameras there (I just checked) and it was night. You just tell everybody there are cameras so that they won't bring you to court. It's the driver RAUL's word against mine and my credit card receipt to back me up. See you in court. I bet you won't show up.

Your vehicle was towed because you parked the car and left the property. You have a right to a tow-hearing which there will be video evidence to prove you are wrong. So what if you have a receipt, they can be from some one else or faked. But there is video to prove you and your female friend left the property and walked off. So go ahead and cry wolf, just remember that when a judge tells you that you are wrong. And as far as the storage lot I'm sure you were rude to the girl that was working as you were the drunk one as she was not. You get what you give. I'm sure you didn't video your drunk friends talking trash to the lot clerk until she told the Jack***'s to leave. Its not state law to take a credit card they just have to other payment forms available, and you stated they did (Debit). Your just mad you had to pay for your mistake. There was no reason for anyone at the wrecker service to call you back you got towed for walking off property. File a Tow Hearing and quit threatening and harassing people. Yes Tow Companies are not the Police, but you don't own the planet and park wherever you feel like, It was Private Property!
