Joey Cipolla & a guy by the name of Steve conned me out of several hundred dollars back in July of '12 while pretending to fix my brakes, timing belt & check engine light.
Joey & Steve have been working out of his (Joey's) father's garage continuously on Harlem Ave. without any kind of license ripping off people left and right. He claims he is ASE certified and works at Currie Motors and only does this part-time? In reality, he does this full-time and is not at all certified. He's had several businesses, the most recent ones were in Oak Park and Plainfield. Law enforcement has yet to come down hard on him even after several complaints, though he's still on parole. This is one of the reasons he's still in business. He's a two-bit hood out to rip unsuspecting people off left and right.
If you've been conned by either one of them please file a report with the Attorney General's office, Small Claims Court and the Department of Business Affairs & Consumer Protection. Nothing will ever be done about them if you don't take action against them, regardless of how many times you post on a website.
People will continue to be ripped off by them until they're stopped.
