Joe Myer's Ford (Used) Deceptive Salesman & Contracts Houston Texas
I visited Joe Myers Ford(Used) and was greeted by a salesman. I explained to the salesman that I had a large family and was only interested in purchasing a Ford Expedition. I do have derogatory credit, but I was gauranteed that they "WOULD DO WHAT EVER IT TAKES" to get me into the vehicle. They even advertised that slogan in local newspapers and even had in painted in bold letters on the front windows of the building. I filled out contracts, was told the name of my finance company, the amount of my payments, and when my first payment was due.
I drove the vehicle home that night and managed to drive the Expedition(2000) for 7 days. I went back to the dealership to pay them the down payment as agreed in the contract, provide them with a full coverage insurance binder, and give them the title to my trade in. Once, they recieved my down payment and title I was then told that they could not find a finance company and that I had to give them an additional down payment or return the vehicle. My wife and I refused to pay any more money down because we kept the vehicle for a week and fell in love with it. I purchased a non-refundable insurance policy on the vehicle and purchased accessories for the truck.
The salesman, MR.JOE ZERGOZA, insulted me and my wife and the status of our credit. He even laughed at the fact that I had three paid off vehicles within 2 years that totaled more than the cost of the Expedition combined. Joe Myers did not have the courtesy to call us and notify us of a potential problem with financing. We left in tears and was decieved33. They even tried to keep my down payment and charge me for renting the Expedition. We was told that we would not get any of our money nor our trade in back unless we accept a vehicle that they could put us in. Now here's the funny part!
Joe Myers found a finance company that would finance a 2003 Ford Taurus SES with 21k miles, but couldn't find a finance company to finance the 2000 Ford Expedition with 75k miles. Can you picture a family of seven(7)driving comfortably in a Ford Taurus? i was decieved by their actions and sales pitches. This company has 42 complaints on file with the Better Business Bureau.
