Jonathan Groves RIPPED OFF- J GROVES took 50% deposit for the purchase of a Hot Tub but never delievered the goods PARALIMNI CYPRUS
April 2008 ordered a beachcomber Hot Tub from J Groves paid 6,224.00. He would only accept cash or cheque payments. The Hot Tub was due to be installed on 31st December 2008. According to J Groves, due to the shipment from Canada being delayed the Hot Tub could not be delievered. A new dated was arranged for 10th February 2009 but the Hot Tub could not be delivered because it was held up in customs, due to missing paper work. So the Hot Tub would be delievered on 26th March 2009. Hot Tub never arrived, so I asked for my money to be refunded in full.
J Groves told me he would give me my money back but he needed a few days to get the money together. After several phone calls and emails to J Groves I still had not recieved any money from him.
In April 2009 I reported J Groves to the Larnaca police, the CID ordered J Groves to attend the police station where he was informed by CID to repay the money he owed me as soon as possible. While at the police station another lady came in to report J Groves she was also owed 6,000 for a Hot Tub she had ordered last year. I also discovered at the police station that J Groves never actually ordered my Hot Tub.
It is now 7th May 2009 and I have still not received any of my money back from J Groves.
I now know of five other people who have paid deposits to J Groves and have not received their Hot Tubs and can not get their money back. The deposits paid to J Groves arrange from 3,000 to 6,000 and one man paid 11,000.00 the full cost of the Hot Tub he ordered.
To date no one has received the Hot Tubs they ordered over a year ago and no one has recieved their money back.
J Groves in now dealing in Swimming Pools in Cyprus.
DO NOT DEAL WITH J GROVES YOU WILL NOT GET THE GOODS AND HE WILL NEVER PAY ANY MONEY BACK.
