Julie Moerman purchase of pure-breed animal refused refund when I returned sick cat had a contract Surprise Arizona
Dear Sirs = on sept 18th I purchased a pure-breed kitten from a cat breeder - I had seen her ad in the paper - which I still have a copy of. To make a long story short - after I got the kitten home and discovered that it was very ill - I called the breeder two hours later and asked her about returning the cat the next morning - which I did, along with a witness.
I did have a contract for 72 hours with the breeder. Upon returning the kitten - she refused to give me a refund of my 100.00 cash - saying that she was keeping it for her time and trouble and for the time that she had spent with me on the phone.
She has refused all of our phone calls to resolve the matter and on her answering machine is mine and my husbands name - calling us "jackass'" - which I do have a recording of.
Also - this cat caused myself, my husband and my witness to the transaction to become covered in a horrible case of ringworms. We have all been to the doctor and are being treated. The bad thing is - this woman now has another litter of kittens ready for sale - and I am so afraid that more people are going to get ripped off. Thanks so much - Melissa Black
