Complaint Review: Just like Family Pet Express / Doug Saunders - Internet

On April 11 2013 I contacted Doug about picking up a pup in Ohio to deliver to Texas and return a pup to Ohio. Price agreed to was 300 total for both ways. It was agreed that he would pick up pup in Ohio first drive to Texas drop her off and collect payment upon returning second pup. He was to pick first pup up on Friday April 12 by noon. He did not pick her up till 1 AM Saturday the 13th of April 2013.

That breeder gave strict instructions on care of pup as she was in a CAST for broken toes. He was give a bag of 4 health dog food 4 cans of 4 health dog food her folder with paper work inside and a bag containing precut meds and the bottle with the remaining meds inside. he was to feed her 2x a day and give 1/2 a pill 2 x a day. Breeder said fair well. Pup was to be delivered Monday by 4 pm.

Breeder texts me at 2 am to let me know pup was picked up and headed my way. Or so we thought. Sunday rolled around no contact, Monday rolls around he does not call me all my calls got to VM.  Breeder in Ohio Calls him he has run into a ICE storm and is delayed. Still does not call me. I find out Tuesday from him what i knew Monday from the breeder. He will be there firs thing Wednesday morning, well that too rolls around and i get a between 6 pm and 10 pm that night. I call again only to have him give and excuse of rain is slowing him down.

He is an hour outside of Houston. Bypassed the first time. I call a breeder Friend in that area no major storms light rain very easy to drive in. Thursday rolls around its now the 18th of April 5 days into her trip with only 4 days of food. Ive already told him to be at my house by 10 am or i was reporting the dog Stolen. ?He gives me the line his niece has died i need to pick the dog up in DALLAS. 3.5 hours from me. mmmm No i cant up and leave ne one who is in Texas knows of the STARR tests yup miss one cant pass the grade. Son was taking those.

Still tells me he is an Hour outside of Houston. ???? Why????? I told him he needed to have her there today. So the Breeder in Ohio Calls me says he will drop her off between 6 -7 Thursday night. I call him he tell me he will drop her off on his way back from Amarillo. Why? Im on the way if he is going up 287. Nope i got the excuse i go where my Tom tom Tells me to go. I said no your gonna drop her off. By this time Im so pissed off and worried i have a sharp stabbing pain in my left side like its been ripped off. Husband thinks Heart attack.

Finally after taking 14.5 hours to drive from where he is at to Dallas to Me he arrives at 1040 pm Thursday the 18th Im hurting Bad so i send my husband to pick up the pup and drop off the other pup. He refuses to allow my husband to see first pup or inspect the kennel she was in said its what the other breeder said to do. Nope caught in a lie again bc i was just on the phone with her. Finally after a arguement my husband gets the pup who is covered in Dry piss her coat is crusty she reeks of piss and poop.

Her cast when she left was a off white was no BLACK and soaked. He gave back the FULL bag of dog food and 3 cans gave her 2 1/2 of a 1/2 dose of pills all week basically she got a half pill the whole trip for her foot in the cast. I docked him 75 buck each day he was late 150 in total. He gets pissy with my husband and Steals my new pups micro chip info from her fold and tells my husband when he gets paid he will mail it to us takes my pup that is going back to Ohio and her food crams her into a kennel and leaves.

Upon getting out new pup home reeking of pee I take pictures of her and her filthy cast then  I begin to take off her cast ( ordered to do so by her breeder bc cast was to have been changed 3 days before)  as i get to the toe the white cotton turns dark yellow from PEE its soaked in PEE and Smells to high heaven. I send pics to her breeder of her and her food and meds. please see pictures below of Merle pup Cast and Meds as well as uneaten unopened food! SHe has a UTI as well do to laying in her own excrement.

Ok The pup That was picked up on Thursday was to be dropped off my Monday at 10 AM. Still we got More excuses he had to go to a funeral had to take breaks bc his legs we swelling and he couldn't drive. her he assured us that pup was ok. Calls the breeder in Ohio tells her pup si ok and is playing with his niece on his front porch! WTH why is he allowing a pup to be out of the kennel playing on grounds with God knows what in it with people we dont know????? MAJOR NO NO we didnt agree to that at all and is uncalled for.

He has by this time either blocked my number or is refusing to answer bc all i gt is VM no replies to texts either. Only talking to breeder in Ohio. Im beyond pissed. He gives a drop off time of 11-1 am on Tuesday. at 8 Wednesday he is still not there. He also sends me 3 texts telling and i quote from his texts " you better look up slander and libel in the dictionary and figure out if you want to keep running your mouth i already have retained an attorney i will be filing a small claim against you for what you owe me and second will be slander suit. I will expect payment within 24 hours and the removal of any comments made by you. IM  NOT PLAYING!!!!!!! 4:11 pm Monday April 22nd 2013.

that was the last contact i had with Doug except for a phone call  which he answered and thought i was the breeder in Ohio i said wheres the dog Doug? he said it will get there i have made plans with the breeder. Thats all he would tell me.

Wednesday April 24 2013 pup arrives between 1130-1230 that morning. I had Mailed her papers thank God but had sent a 7 lb bag of Food. Breeder never got it said he didnt get ne from us but slipped up and said he did when asked about the other pups papers said my husband dropped it while handing him the puppy and her food.  He pup which was delivered to Ohio was skin and Bones. She looked as if she had not been fed all week. You could count her ribs her spine and her hips. Breeder there told me she had very dark urine and popped the moment he let her out and he stated she had not infact eaten that whole day do to travel. She too Reeked of Urine and has a UTI Please see pics of Blue pup Jade below for her BEFORE and After photos.

What doug has done to these two pups is unacceptable and is NEGLECT in a MAJOR way. I am beyond hurt, heartbroken im pissed and plan to counter sue him for Damages to my pups. I advise neone looking for a Transporter to NOT use this man Pleas to not subject your babies to this horror.
