Complaint Review: KB Solutions/Contractor For Comcast Extortion Illegal Back Charges Scam Artist - Port Huron Michigan

if you cant make any money at this company its cause you suck, my roommate made over 900.00 last week. if your not makin any money an just taking a loss its not cause the company sucks its cause you suck an shouldnt of been hired in the first place. i dont know how any1 could say this job/company could suck and is a ripoff, i worked for kfc as the head cook an made 7.40 a hour bustin my a** over 5 fryers all day and having to do pretty much everything cause the other cook only knows how to do dishes or is slow as s*** at everything. i worked at 11 an hoover kfc an it failed inspection badly, they got rid of all managers an replaced them and it was on me an this other guy to clean the whole place and what did we get for it, nothing except getting the manager a better salary. they refuse to even give anyone a 40 hour check to any employee and i made like 300 every two weeks, thats a crooked company. at lecom i make more money in 4 days then i did in two weeks at kfc. so if your not makin money at leco/kb quit an go to kfc u might have a better chance but have fun sleeping on a bench cause workin for kfc you will bust your a** an not even make no more then 700 a month. an like i said my roommate made over 900.00 last week and makes about 2000.00 average a month so when you say workin for lecom/kb is a ripoff think again cause if you even get a chance to make that much money its on you to do it, an alot of techs say they are so good at cable then how cant you make money, cause you suck not the company. when you dont make any money its your fault not a companys.

125 to 150 i wish i made that much a day there i just quit because me and the rest of the kb guys are making around 40 - 100 and 100 on a good damm day and that just paid the gas and maint on my truck I hear the same crap from the lecom guys this company needs to go and be gone i do care about the employees working there but there better off if they lose there jobs i dont want them to talk anyone else into getting a job there 1000-1500 a week not happening unless of corse they book you with enought jobs and you work 14 hours a day cause the pay scale is rigged  

LOOKS LIKE LECOM SHUT KB DOWN, ALTHOUGH FOR SOME REASON THERE STILL SOME TECHS OUT THERE GETTING SCREWED BY KB AND LECOM USING THEIR OWN VEHICLES, GUESS LECOM'S MAKING SOME GOOD MONEY FROM THE WAY KB SOLUTIONS USES THERE TECHS TO KEEP OPERATING COSTS DOWN. ALSO THE PAY SCALE IS RIGGED SO YOU CANT MAKE ANY MONEY, PIECE WORK AND HOURLY TOGETHER, SO IF YOU GET A CUSTOMER THAT ISNT HOME OR YOU GET DOWN WITH YOUR WORK ORDERS BY 1300 OR 1400 AND GET STUCK WAITING ON A 4-7 TO GET HOME; YOUR WHOLE DAYS HOURLY WAGE JUST WENT DOWN THE TOILET. THE ECONOMY IS SO BAD EMPLOYEES HAVE NO WHERE ELSE TO TURN TO FOR A JOB AND HAVE TO PUT UP WITH 10-12 HOUR DAYS FOR $125-$150, THATS IF THEIR LUCKY SOME TECHS ARE OUT THERE GETTING PAID MINIMUM WAGE. HAHAHA

Just read something similar on another post. There might be a few things you can try. Contact the United States Department of Labor and file a FLSA (fair labor standards act) claim. If there are several of you who feel this way you might want to consider filing a class action flsa claim. If your claim has merit, I'd be willing to bet your employer would settle out of court instead of possibly incurring triple damages. This sort of strategy is being used succesfully by employees who have been victims of employer wage theft. You can contact the Michigan Department of Labor also. In your case working the company you work for most likely does more than 500k worth of business in which case the feds would be in charge of it and not the state. If your argument also has to do with benefits Michigan Public Act 390 addresses that. I would recommend filing claims in both government agencies. Note...if you don't file a written complaint no action will be taken and you only have so much time to file one. Don't wait any longer take action while you still have the time. Another popular tool employees are doing is turning employers into the IRS, State Treasury's, Unemployment Agencies, etc. for tax fraud. I've been informed that depending on the size of the fine, the IRS offers a finders fee. Most states have sites where you can report them without no one knowing. Contact your local prosecutor or attorney general. In New York an employer was arrested for extorting his employees into returning money that they were rightfully owed by threatening to fire them. The charges included three counts of grand larceny by extortion which is a felony and carries up to four years in prison. Another thing employees are also doing which is sweeping across the country is filing unjust enrichment/quantum meruit claims against their employers. Employees are also reporting their employers for false/quantum meruit claims. This is also being used where employers are awarded government contracts. I would recommend you consult with a lawyer. I would also recommend that you talk with a union rep from your area as some of them have been known to help people just like you. Best of Luck. Oh, and one last thing. The other popular thing employers are doing is challenging employees eligibility for unemployment benefits. That means for several weeks maybe even months it is unlikely that you would be able to draw unemployment benefits until a determination is made. You can always appeal the employers challenge. As for the tools, ladders, etc., typically that is typically governed by a contract. If you don't have a contract, I suggest you contact the nearest OSHA office and file a complaint. Often times, employers are required to furnish tools/equipment to perform your job duties. Then there is one last thing...Go to the U.S. justice department and file a complaint their as well. Now go get your money back....

yeah you made over 70000 a year ripping people off illegally, and having all your techs sign agreements stating 100 dollar backcharge for calling in, 25 dollar back charge for being 15mins late, 75 dollar truck rental for the week even if you only work one day a week. the average rate nationally for cable supervisors is between 35000-45000, gee must be nice sucking the life out of people to make 70000, i know some people who lost their houses working for kb, and someone that still works there would have lost his house if it wasnt for the stimulus checks. o yeah and your background checks the former supervisor had felony drug charges. its amazing the director of contractors for comast let kb stay in the system, with guys promping their ladders over the cab of the truck or my personal fav letting the ladder stick out the end of the bed then throwing a cable reel on the front by the cab. yeah buying tools for techs must be a real drag for the comany...not!!!!! this company got a boner if you needed tools, resonable companies might charge you 15% on tools purchases, not doulbing the prices, 30 dollars for a 15 dollar wrench. 250 dollars for a 70 dollar ladder rack made in china and breaks after 3 months....sorry. yeah work gets slow in the winter when you have nine routes a day in september october and november kb just keeps hiring techs with no experience and no tools until theres 18 techs, by this time in the winter kb only gets about nine routes 2 days a week monday and friday, the days in between were show up and pray.must be easy to budget 70000....try looking up michigan labor laws and figuring out how to fu** people out of money, o yeah you dont care.... you just keep filling that fat face of yours until you burst with greed... and the irs is knocking at your door. P.S. thank you lecom for trying to do something about this problem and cleaning up the actions of contractors that work for you, but i think theres still a little bit more to do.....

Comcast HAS NO SAY on this employers policies or procedures.... They are a separate company. Just because they sub-contract out to Comcast does not mean Comcast has a say-so on there rules. And FYI~ if you where late to Comcast and no call no show/not showing up for work like you admitted doing here you would have been fired!!

Some people are idiots and probably didnt get smacked enough when they were younger. I have worked for Kb Solutions for a littel wile. I take pride in my work as well as where i work. I have great skill at what i do and can work for any cable company. The pay rates at KB are better than in-house, Aci and Lecom. When i first started working for them, they had me sign a document stating if i did not perform well there would be back charges. This includes you numbers as well as attendance. Any cable tech that is as good as he says he is will not be upset for these charges. If you suck, then expect to be charged. I dont know about this moron who wrote that they hire anyone. They had my back ground check pulled as well as my driving record pulled. I have had friends get denied for working here because of either driving record or back ground issues. As far as them over charging tools, bottom line is by your own crap. If you need their help for buying tools then good for them. They should make money on you. Its their money time and credit. If some of these techs were as good as they say they are, then why dont they get there own junk before coming aboard. I have never been treated wrong by LeCom or KB and i am not related to anyone. Just Fyi- work gets real slow in the winter. This is why there has not been alot of work. If you have any type of brain and have been around Comcast for some time then you know to budget your money. I have done this for a long time so this slow season does not affect me and anyone else who has been here before. If you are wondering if you should come aboard, then try. Dont let the last couple of ignorant Jack***es tell you different. I made $70000 last year, let them idiots try to make that at Taco Bell or Wallmart or some alarm company. So in short, i apologize for these short sighted, idiot moron, techs who think they know it all. Chances are this "best d**n cable tech in Michigan" numbers sucked and wasnt a good tech at all and was about to get let go.

Welcome to the crooked-iest company I've ever worked for. KB Solutions is a contracting partner for LeCom Communications, a contractor for Comcast Cable in Metro Detroit. This company back charges you for being a half-hour late for work 25 bucks, no call no show 100 bucks, and the money goes into the supervisors paycheck,if you rent a company truck from them its 75 a week, even if you only work 1 day that week because they've got 18 guys working there and only gettin 9 routes. These guys are taking 2 jobs from port huron to romeo, warren, and where ever else the company tells them to jump. They hire guys off the street how dont know a cable from a hole in there back and have no business going into customers houses with past felonies for violent acts or drug charges, including the supervisor.ACI a national contractor for Comcast does a thorough back ground search for any felonies or other acts of violence or drugs and you wont even get a call back.This guy from Comcast shows up at 0730 to deliver our routes and most of the time our boss is so hung over from blowing all his money at the bar last night he cant get there until 0800 or so and this Comcast guy just leaves. NO WORK TODAY GUYS, SORRY. Now there running an afternoon shift for same day service, people call into comcast because 5 guys have been there and cant figure out the problem or dont care to even try, then one of these KB morons shows up on his first week of doing cable and f***s up the whole job. Some of these KB idiots run routes with no ladder and no tools but somehow they get out of ding that job with some lame excuse or lie to the customer and sometimes even gettin signatures on the work orders and getting paid for the job. Also they love to hire new techs and extort them for a ladder, ladder rack, and any other tools you might need at a 300% mark up. 10 dollar security tools 30 bucks, 80 dollar ladder rack 250, 200 ladder 300 bucks, then they payroll deduct up the a**. I hope someone from Comcast reads this and does something about the 9507 corp in Michigan. Several employees or contractors of KB Solutions have contacted the Michigan Labor Board about the company I hope they do something these guys are unbelievable. theres 2 supervisors and 2 warehouse guys who get paid to do nothing, they watch tv all day, surf porn on the internet and show it off to each other when they find something twisted and bizzare, they have a microwave, fridge, the other day when i was trying to get my equipment a nasty 3 day old whole chicken in a slow cooker was sitting on the floor rotting and stinking like s***. THANKS FOR ALL THE BROKEN PROMISES AND LIES KB.
