La Dermanique Lumera It's a total scam bilking customers with a strangle-hold on a card card Internet
On April 4, 2014, like a dummy I fell for a scam from La Dermanique. They bait you with a $5.00 “sample” – then one month to the day, they sent me an email saying “thank you for your purchase”…and that the ‘item was already shipped. I responded that I didn’t do any purchasing on May 5, 2014 because I was not near a computer the whole day and night since we were celebrating a 60th wedding anniversary. They have not responded to my email. They take no responsibility over the phone.
They have my credit card number and have charged my card. They did not include the amount of the charge in their email. But I called my credit card company and they did verify that 2 charges had been made to my card of $87.67 and $96.88. THEN I found out that not only do I have the 2 full charges on my MAY bill…but those charges are also on my April bill in the same amount…along with…the price of the sample. AND….that means that
1. I did not receive a sample, but rather they sent me the monthly shipment from the get-go and charged me for BOTH.
OR
2. They charged me for the sample and billed me the monthly charge but did not send out the merchandise.
OR
3. They charged a registration fee in the amount of the products.
Their product is not great…does not deliver what they advertise….not even with the biggest stretch of imagination. Even if it did – I am not that vain that I would pay $2,226.60 a year for face cream!! I could get a face lift for the price of a 2 year subscription!!
This company is the biggest scam since Maydoff! Do NOT get involved….and let your friends know about the scam so that they don’t get sucked in either.
Is there a class action suit against them? Anybody know? Perhaps we should start one and put them out of business.
