Lagadere,love21222.com, Love Coach, Mblox Is Involved Too! prepay phone scam done through Premium SMS Web Internet
love21222.com scammed our prepay phone for a membership in "Love Coach" - this was accomplished by sending us a Premium SMS and then the phone account was hit for the charges. Apparently Love Coach is operated by a company named Lagadere. Lagadere contracts with a company named MBlox who claims they are only the company providing messaging services for Lagadere and Love Coach. MBlox bills the charge to your wireless phone company. The wireless phone company then hits your account for the charges. Verizon claims no responsibility for this nor do they want to reimburse us the money for which we were scammed. Of course MBlox said they have nothing to do with it either.
You call the phone number MBlox gives you to take the matter up with Love Coach, and it is a voice message only telling you to go to the website or send words on your phone by text message to 21222 to get them to unsubscribe you. That is fine, but nowhere are you given the option to get your money which you were ripped off, refunded to you. They of course tell you to take up billing problems with your prepay phone company.
So it is a viscious circle of people denying responsibility, but yet just making $10 off of you and others they are scamming. This must be stopped. I am also upset to find out that Verizon has no way to block these types of scams on their phones.
