Landstar Ligon Trucking Beware of their Broker-Carrier Contracts! They take no responsibility for their driver foul-ups Jacksonville Florida
Beware of Landstar Trucking Broker-Carrier contracts! Unless there are actual (hands on) damages to the product, Landstar refuses to take any-ANY responsibility for any (proven beyond any reasonable doubt) damaging actions of the iliterate drivers. From the "Rip Off" reports on here already, they apparentlly don't pay their drivers and likely the largest percentage of drivers they will get are not going to be your "general population" high school graduates. I'm sure they have "some" good and decent drivers but do you want to take a chance and gamble that you'd get one of these for your load?
Landstar's "policy" is to refuse to pay, negotiate, or even acknowledge ANY wrongdoing unless you can produce actual pictures of damaged goods. All else is "CLAIM REFUSED"! If you don't specifically have it in writing, they will absolutely hold it against you. They have a very limited, if any, amount of scruples, concience, and responsibility (opinion of many) and they'll step on anyone in the way of them getting their next dollar (and that's my observation and opinion...of course!).
DON'T USE LANDSTAR- unless you're shipping dog food that you don't care if it makes it to the destination or not...
