I KNOW HE IS A NON-LAWYER BUT...This guy would make a great politician... That's amazing that R James Petersen simply denies knowing his own "clients"! Wish I could strap him to a lie detector...!

The poster is falsely alluding that this office was responsible for everything that went wrong in her life, which is false and not true in any way. The poster mentions "an attorney that charged me 3500.00 for Title searches" (this was not us) and "He made an extra 75,000" (this was not us); a "nurses association" (again this is not us); and someone named "Megan", her alleged "husband", and another party whom the poster alleges committed some traffic activity against the poster (again this is not us nor has there ever been a Megan working for this office). The VCBA mentioned by the poster is the Ventura County Bar Association which determined that this office earned the retainer paid for work conducted by this office. The initial consultation was free and copies of the poster's file were provided to the poster as required by law. Pursuant to The State Bar of California: Steve Pell has no public record of discipline nor does he have any public record of administrative actions. I think that the above poster said it best when she admits "the only record I have is a few ten year old DUI's". And that's what this rebuttal is about: Somebody doesn't want to admit to what they did on their own, for acts they did before hiring this attorney, and then they complain it's this attorney's fault for actions that happened prior to hiring this attorney. I had a HORRIBLE life-changing NIGHTMARE experience with The (so-called) Law Offices Of Steve Pell. They ruined my life. I recomend finding a lawyer that is interested in helping not in taking the money and then... never returning a call..... His assistant convinced me they could solve my problem with $3,500. His assistant PROMISED Steve would make sure that I wouldn't lose my driver's license over a simple cs issue. And it was months before the deadline in which I could lose my license. I had a simple case of showing proof in court, and yet STEVE PELL NEVER did a thing! Nothing! Never even returned a phone call.... The office help would just brush me off the phone saying he's working on it.... But days turned to weeks and weeks turned to days..... and then months! No return call! I couldn't believe I trusted this clown, not because he was recommended but because I had seen him on the back of all the phone books... (Now I know where he gets the money for those ads!) so I thought he would assist me. But I never got to see him. Never! He never returned my calls. Nothing.... Just took my hard-earned money and disappeared!!! You're taught at a young age to look up to the court system. To believe that honesty will win out. The last hope of fairness for the mistreated and downtrodden. To be represented by a lawyer should be an honor. I was raised to believe in lawyers. Steve Pell changed my belief system instilled in me from my father-He took the money and never did a thing, like a crook, but far worse-this was the counsel I had turned too! Steve Pell ruined my life. I ended up LOSING my driver's license that summer!! This could have been prevented had STEVE PELL or his assistant (Who I later found out was NOT even a lawyer!!). ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS simply file my papers. Imagine the frustration of trying to get to work in taxis and the bus, let alone the embarrassment of walking and catching rides from friends. A NIGHTMARE!! Lied and cheated They lied to me about solving my problem. They cheated me out of services paid so they stole from me. Guess what?! The STATE BAR agreed and I got a refund check. So this is all true documented and the facts! Steve Pell, ha! The lawyer I turned to in need, RUINED my life, my reputation, my relationship. He ruined my life. But what a costly mistake it is when you pick a crooked lawyer. Your life could crumble away while you try to stay afloat like mine did. Have you ever been hungry and wanted to go to the store to get something to eat but yet you couldn't even use your car because a lawyer you paid all your bank account too didn't do anything to help you? It's a terrible, lonely feeling. I hope nobody goes through what I wwent through. At least the STATE BAR agreed....... MALPRACTICE! Did they pull his license? Because he promptly put up a PELL REAL ESTATE sign...haha! Can you imagine him taking all those commissions from your house..? Whew!! Happy to send you this actual case paperwork on request. Nobody should hire a bad lawyer. I guess my dear father was right. The belief that the court system IS ultimately fair and congruent, and that honesty DOES win out! May 10th 2009 Forgetting to mention that upon speaking with Karl Becker several months into the exceptance of my case Karl is Steve Pells Dis-barred associate who does intakes for him. I was quoted two prices for representation from a receptionist in Pells office and he as well asked me how much I paid for the first attorney that I hired. He matched and quoted the same price for services then upon speaking with a receptionist at the front desk then he changed his mind and said 5000,00 that is for everything possible that might come up too. A few weeks went by and there were a few phone calls back and forth then a few months went by and there was always an excuse for their office not to meet with me. Finally I just showed up and there was this Irate customer who was trying to get custody of his two children and he was very upset about misrepresentation of that office. I ignored him and waited to be seen by council but again got the dis-barred person who was trying to build a much larger case than it was. The Irritated man was screaming in the front lobby and said his wife was leaving town with their children and he had custody at that point, more than I cared to hear about, but he again was asked to sit down and wait and they made some phone calls and he said could he come into the receptionist room to make a private conversation and they did they started whispering, I realized later that it was all staged like a soap opera for attracting business. I feel sorry for the Bar in Ventura since they have such malicious lawyers. Now I have to be out 3500.00 plus 5,000 and 75,000 and I don't even have employment right now. My brother was murdered in Ventura County jail and I have had a difficult time getting employment in my own birth place Ventura California a fourth generation resident and was at one time asked to leave the United States if I did not like the results of my families plight. Where was the Constitution born?
