Lead Point.com is a lead service that sells leads for mortgage brokers.  They are ripping off the mortgage brokers around the country.  They are purchasing leads that are old, recycled, and advertising rates that can not be offered.  When you prove to them that their leads are false, they still charge you.  They are ripping off the entire mortgage industry in a time of reform.  This company should be looked at by HUD and all government agencies.  IF YOU ARE A MORTGAGE PROFESSIONAL, DO NOT USE THIS LEAD SERVICE

I am a long time mortgage lead buyer and know a number of additional mortgage companies that buy leads from LeadPoint and I have never received a lead that was not in real time. Sure, I have received leads whereby the consumer is tired of receiving phone calls and have claimed a number of different things. I have also had my share of bad leads from LeadPoint, but nothing abnormal or different from any other provider and if the reason is valid they obviously except the lead as a return.

I find the need to stick up for LeadPoint in this situation because of my past dealings with them and the fact that so many of my industry peers use them as well and frankly, based on statistics, think they are a quality lead source.

Buying leads isn't the golden ticket many people think it is and you will receive bad leads, but in my opinion, LeadPoint is a quality and trustworthy source.

just my two cents

Happy lead buying!

First of all, I would never doubt that part of managment of Lead Point would answer my complaint any differently then he or she did.  As a trusted employee, I would not expect differently.  However, lets face the facts.  Lead Point is a middleman that is purchasing the leads from different sources and forwarding them to the broker, with the PROMISE they are new leads, and legitimate leads.  they are far from that.  they are using old stale material sold over and over to brokers all for their profit and passing them off as brand new

We are sorry to hear that Robert from Hauppauge, New York had a poor experience with our service, but would like to point out that his views do not reflect the vast majority of our customers and that his claims that we sell real-time leads that are old, recycled or have advertising rates that can not be offered are untrue.

LeadPoint, Inc. is widely recognized as one of the top platforms to acquire mortgage leads on the Internet. Evidence of this is an A- score with the Better Business Bureau.

LeadPoint is regularly praised by our customers and industry peers for the quality of the leads we deliver and our commitment to our clientele. On April 11, 2010, LeadCritic (one of the top blogs covering the lead gen business) wrote in an article entitled Quality Companies do Rise to the Top:

In the mortgage space I surveyed 4 significant lead buyers which constantly mentioned receiving excellent quality leads from LeadPoint, QuinStreet, MortgageLoan.com and Adchemy. I know first hand that these companies employ leaders in the space that care about the consumers experience, lead quality and the lead buyer. If you are in the mortgage space you should take a look at these companies for leads.

While Robert never asserts it, I want to make clear that LeadPoint does not generate its own leads. Instead, we provide a platform which directly connects interested lead buyers with marketing sources that generate leads. We control the overall quality of leads within the exchange by carefully and routinely screening the quality of each seller. We do so by requesting feedback from our buyers to score the performance of the leads from our sellers. LeadPoint kicks out from the exchange sellers who submit poor performing leading and works to increase volume from sellers who submit leads that perform well for our buyers.

The LeadPoint exchange provides two ways for buyers to acquire mortgage leads. A mortgage broker can purchase leads as a market blend or can purchase leads directly from a specific lead source. MortgageLoan.com, mentioned in the LeadCritic article, is one of the marketing sources that you can purchase directly from within our platform. Thus, of the top four sources listed by LeadCritic, LeadPoint represents two.

LeadPoints CEO, Marc Diana, is considered one of the visionaries within the lead gen industry and before starting LeadPoint in 2004 was one of the founders of LowerMyBills which was later purchased by Experian.

LeadPoint has been the lead sponsor for three straight years of LeadsCon, the top conference in the lead gen space and a must-attend event for those interested in online customer acquisition. If we were even remotely like what Robert suggests, the organizers of LeadsCon would not risk tarnishing their reputation as the industrys top conference by having us as their top sponsor.

LeadPoint works with the whose who of lead gen mortgage buyers and often receives the primary share of many of our customers business. The reason for this is that we consistently deliver what the vast majority of mortgage buyers want from a lead marketplace. Those benefits include consistent volume, pricing, quality and a commitment to service.

As most people understand, it is nearly impossible to have 100% customer satisfaction. Generally the primary reason for the small number of customers that occassionally are dissatisfied with our marketplace is a misunderstanding of the lead gen business.

Among the top lead gen companies which include LeadPoint, LendingTree, QuinStreet, and Adchemy one generally sees conversation rates of 2.5-5%. If you are a small purchaser of leads and only sample 20 leads there is a good chance that of the 20 you purchased none will convert. However, if you go in with proper expectations and dont become focused on the failed leads, but devote your time to working the favorable leads the economics works. LeadPoint works with thousands of satisfied customers who will tell you this.

In conclusion, LeadPoint regrets Roberts poor experience, but would like to make clear that it represents the minority of our customers. We welcome anyone to contact us should they want to work with one of the few lead gen companies in the business that is truly committed to delivering quality and excellent customer experience. With the right expectations and processes in place, we are confident that you will be extremely pleased with our services.
