Lease Finance Group LLC stuck in a "Non-Cancellable Lease" until March 26, 2011 Chicago Illinois
We signed a 48 month "Non-Cancellable Lease" (and it isn't even spelled correctly on the 'contract') on 3/4/07 and $78.94 is faithfully deducted from our checking account each month.I didn't even realize the contract was non-cancelable until we stopped using our machine to process credit cards.
I pulled the contract from our file and called LFG's customer service #1-866-781-0440 to see if there was any way out. A person who said his name was Angelo answered, and after explaining to him that we can no longer afford to lease the machine, I would like to know if there was any way out of the lease. I was told the only way out of the contract would be to pay the entire balance in full $2,473.75.
I don't remember if we were told during the 'pitch' if the contract was non-cancelable; and I don't remember if it states it on the top copy of the triplicate form that we got the pink copy of.
Now that I think of it, I get absolutely zero correspondence from 'LFG' (Lease Finance Group). I've never received any paperwork from them, not a statement, a receipt, or anything. Thinking about it now that is very odd; considering the company who actually processes our credit card transactions (a separate company) sends us statements monthly, and an occasional memo.
I really want to get out of this contract, it is not benefiting our company, especially now with the economy in the state it is in. We sincerely appreciate any help.
