Lease Finance Group, LLC Attempts to Extort Monies on basis of Fraudulent Leasing Contract Chicago Illinois
Lease Finance Group, LLC advertises itself as a leasing company specializing in financing credit card swiping machines and other business equipment. This company's sales staff typically dupe small businesses into entering into four-year leases to pay for machines, which are typically worth $200-$300, resulting in total payments of $2,500-$4,000.
Many small-business owners are misled by third-party vendors into signing contracts they think will provide them with a wide range of services at rates typically ranging from $59-$99 a month for four months; they later find out that the amount only finances the swiping machine itself. To make matters worse, many businesses later receive copies of their leases from Lease Financing Group, LLC with the terms changed from four months to 48 months, and the terms of the leases do not allow the consumers to cancel them.
Additionally, Lease Finance Group, LLC engages in aggressive collection practices against consumers who refuse to continue doing business with them (numerous phone calls, letters, threats of lawsuits including mailing documents which appears to be court summons...). These are fear tactics designed to intimidate consumers into complying with their demands.
