Christmas of 2014, my husband purchased a very expensive leather wallet as a gift for me. It is too small for my needs. The day after Christmas, I followed the instructions intiating a return. I contacted Leathertree.com by their email. I heard nothing back from them.
I sent another email to Leathertree.com and was beginning to wonder why they would not respond since this seemed like a legitimate business who had been online for several years. I looked up the 1-800 number and called Leathertree.com
The number called came on with a recorded message that said, "This number has been disconnected and is no longer in service." I looked up another number to Leathertree.com which was not a 1-800 number and called it. The same recorded message came on.
I now realize this company sold thousands of goods to unwary customers, who could not return the items, and the company had to have known what they were doing, as I tried initiating a return the day After Christmas. So, I now have an over priced leather wallet that is not worth the one hundred dollars my husband paid for it. I suppose I should be greatful I received something for the money spent.
It will be interesting to see how many people write about the rip off Leathertree.com pulled off for Christmas 2014.
