LensDiscounters refused to take back unopened contacts boxes that I had purchased from them ripoff Rouses Point New York
I purchases a total of 24 lenses (4 boxes of 6 lenses for each eye) in late June, 2005. In March of 2006, I had my eyes checked and the prescription had changed so I called/emailed lensdiscounter.com and explained to them the situation. They said that they could only refund lenses that still had the UPC code on the original box and that the boxes themselves, were to have no writing on them. The only writing on the box was the letter "L" and - 075.
I ordered the correct contacts and asked that they be shipped overnight. This was on Thursday so I expected them on Friday. Saturday and Monday rolled around and still nothing. I emailed them and asked that the $13.95 be waived since they had not shipped the contacts like I had asked. They said the contacts were back ordered and that they would only charge me regular shipping. I have yet to see these contacts. The return shipment was received by lensdiscounters.com and refused because of the writing on the unopened box.
They told me that they would be glad to discard these contacts for me. I became pretty angry by the way they treated me. What ever happened to taking care of the customer? The charge of $51.20 went on my credit card and I told them this is the last time I will do business with them.
This morning, they said to take my problem up with the federal government. I just laughed and looked up ways to reveal this fraudulent company to others so that other people don't get ripped off as well.
