In sequence: Short Term Disability experience was fine. Then the first case worker lied about things she did and did nothing with the case. Then she was terminated. Then they gave it to someone that wasn't in the office so another person had to work on it (make any sense?). This person was mean and rude and clearly angry about having to work on someone else's case. She kept saying the first person did things and I didn't despite the fact that this didn't happen with the short term disability and I had to repeatedly tell them it wasn't done. The supervisor is a kid and sassy and antagonistic. Then the other case worker returns and is worse than the other. Again spending more time saying what I didn't do than doing her job.
I finally asked for for a new case worker from the sassy young supervisor. This guy was nice but after 6 months and repeated screw ups, delays, lack of follow ups there is still no determination. They actually ignored the fact that they requested something from a doctor and didn't get a reply after this office filled the request the day they got it and no answer from them asking if they received it was a welcome invitation to not follow up. They don't communicate with you so you can follow up with doctors to move things along. Then they ignored the fact that a check from them had not been received for 3 weeks and their mail takes 7-10 business days but my mail can take 2-3.
it it is very clear they look for a reason to deny your claim. And they delay it and dig for it. They don't care what financial problems they cause you and don't care that they left you hanging for 6 months removing any possibility of selling a car up for repo. They deliberately cause you financial ruin hoping you give up. It is hard to have confidence in them between the termination of employees, unprofessional behavior and mistakes.
If if given a choice I would not pick them. They have no problem taking your money but have no intentions of paying you for what you are paying for. And they won't pay for pre-existing so beware.
