Rented from Lisa Fulton for 6 months...never returned my deposit or fixed any appliances. She would show up unannounced with her boyfriend to annoy everyone. Lisa made outlandish claims we never paid the electric bill which was in someone's else's name we were not aware of. Lisa used this lie as justification for not returning deposit. Then Lisa had audacity and crossed the line when she called my elderly mother at night to demand more rent after I was paid up. Lisa was so obnoxious I decided to move out early even though I was paid up (she now claims she tried to evict me). Do not let Lisa Fulton rip you off when returning a deposit. If you rented from her before and she has not returned deposit, take her to small claims court in California.

Also, the person she's talking about was a good tenant and took care of the place.... As a film maker, doing community work and documentaries about the homeless in LA. Sometimes all the guest who were brought over we're friends and socialized with the other tenants, they never lived there. This story about an "altercation" is exaggerated and not even necessarily true. We maintained good terms amoung all the roomates. Lisa has made many innapropriate comments that are not true in general. Take care.

Do not think Lisa is qualified to act as a therapist or occupational counselor here lol. Fact is you been paid thousands of dollars for 6 months, including any "late fees" you added, and you still have held at least one deposit without justification. You have not proved these claims to hold deposit, and you cannot claim your represented by lawyers such as...who only send letters. Btw who is this "girl" online and foreign countries (laughing out loud). You make up and fabricate heresy of people's personal business, family, and work. Wow. It's business, not personal Lisa. You do not authority to make judgements just because you say so. Your seem a bit ridiculous in this landlord role. Take care.

We understand Jared is struggling, and he continuously had issues with payment rent on time, and got irrate with me about late fees which were spelled out in the lease. He would also complain about his finances to the other guys in the house. Jared has moved from place to place for years, and even the one person he thought he could give me as a reference when he wanted to move in, mentioned that he was late on his rent consistently and he hadn't lived there for about a year. I'm not sure what path Jared is on, but his Mom called me concerned when she couldn't get a hold of him, because he went to Mexico to try to bring a girl back that he met online. Jared didn't pay any utilities the entire time he was in the house, and I found out later from the complaints of the other roommates. He got into altercations with one female that lived in the Master bedroom and she gave me notice to move out and said she didn't feel safe staying there anymore with him there. Jared also got into an altercation with the guesthouse tenant's boyfriend, and I had a myriad of other complaints from him with the other roommates. Jared was biligerent with me through text, and I realize mostly it was because he doesn't have money and he lost his job. Jared quarantined the dining room table and turned it into his own office with desktop PC, and didn't have respect for the other roommates. He allowed other homeless "friends" of his to sleep in the living room for up to 2 weeks at a time, which is also a violation of the lease. I would have never known about these things, if it wasn't reported to me.
Lastly, when Jared's long 6-month term was up, I was absolutely not renewing his lease, and the other roommates told me that they would only stay if Jared was going to leave. Jared then said he wanted to use his $650 security deposit as his last month's rent. I pointed out the clear statement in the lease that forbids that. I advised him to vacate the premises and leave the key and forwarding address, and after accessing his room and the condition he left the house, I would send him a statement and deposit or deposit deduction as the lease states. Jared refused to leave, until apparently his mother contacted him. Jared left clothes and trash in his room, and closet; said he threw the key away in the trash and that's why he didn't leave the key, and never left a forwarding address. He is a renegade and I should have used my better judgement before ever allowing him in the house in the first place, when he was desparate to move in the "next day" and didn't have any place to stay.
Jared's share of the 7 different shared bills for the house he never paid was $500 for 6months, and since he "threw away" the key, we had to get all doors re-keyed, and lastly hire a professional to clean his room and dispose of his belongings that he stated in writing "I could have". Jared also stayed through the 5th of the month beyond his lease, and needless to say received an email (due to no physical forwarding address) with a statement of deduction of his entire deposit, because the total amounted to over $800.
RE: Fixing Applicances- All Appliances in the home do work, and were fixed within the reasonable amount of time set in State of California and guide of Habitability and Repairs. Jared didn't understand that when the in-cabinet microwave wasn't working, that it wasn't an emergency. The other roommate offered to get another microwave for the house, until the 3rd roommate told me that the microwave still works, you just have to close the door a little hard. (maybe an electrical loose behind the cabinet)
I am 100% available for further questioning, and definitely would not recommend anybody renting to Jared, and to check his court involvement, as he told the other roommates about 3 other scenarios within one year that he was "taking people to small claims court"- and I'm sure they have him flagged by now.
THANK YOU.
