I am writing this update to my complaint regarding the purchase of a 2012 Altima SL from Lithia Nissan in Medford, Oregon. The next day I was contacted by the general manager of the dealership as well as customer service from Nissan. They acknowledged this was the dealer's fault and NOT our fault as has been commented in this web site. The dealer's general manager did more than I expected to remedy this problem. Nissan's customer service followed up with me three times in one week to make sure I was pleased with the dealer's actions. This certainly changes my opinion of Lithia Nissan, the Lithia company and Nissan. I would not hesitate in purchasing another Nissan, a Nissan from Lithia, or any car from any Lithia store. It is only fair to report when a company that has a complaint lodged against it and it goes out of its way to fix the problem, that equal and adequate notice be posted.

" The general manager apologized and asked if I had ever made a mistake. I certainly have, I bought a car from Lithia Nissan of Meford, OR. "
That wasn't it. The huge glaring mistake you made was buying a car before seeing it, test driving it and verifying that it was actually the car you wanted. Who does that?

You claimed that mileage and the sound system were material elements (to you) and the burden of verifying these items was on you. You apparently failed to do your due diligence and accepted the car without inspecting it. You had the opportunity to decline the deal but you went ahead anyway. Sorry, Pal, but you bought yourself a car.
