LitterMaid BEWARE! Littermaid Automatic Self-cleaning Litter Box is a RIPOFF! Internet
Do NOT buy a Littermaid Self-cleaning Litter Box! I recently purchased a Littermaid Elite for my kitten. The car uses the box, but I am COMPLETELY DISSATISFIED with it. It malfunctions leaving the excrement half in the receiving container and half swept back into the litterpan with clumps attached to the sweeping mechanism. I have read and re-read the instructions, making sure the box is properly put together and that I am using the correct amount of litter. I have even tried two
different kinds of litter, a premium clumping litter and the Littermaid natural litter recommended. I would like to return the product. However, Petsmart, the store from which I purchased the product will not accept a return without the original box, which I threw away after assembling the litter pan. I contacted LitterMaid and they will only replace the product. Why would I want another one, when the problem is an obvious design flaw!? I have contacted Littermaid customer service both via e-mail and telephone and they flatly don't care about customer satisfaction with their product. BUYER BEWARE!
