A few weeks ago my 2001 hyundai accent's transmission went out, i have only had this car maybe 2 months, when i called service and warranty to get my car fixed. they gave me the name and phone number of a mechanic at LJ's autos service in sherwood ar, it  was closest shop  to where i lived . my self and my husband got my car up to the shop . the mechanic told me that it would be a 65 dollar diagonstic fee.. and he would bill it to the warranty company along with all the cost of the repairs. the mechanic told he .. would call me as soon as he knew somthing about the car. it was 3 days before i talked to him again .. and only because i called him wanting to know about my car and what was wrong with it . he told my self and my husband that transmission was gone in my car and that it would have to be replaced. the mechanic .. then said they would call service and warranty and have a transmission shiped to him for the repair.. so myself and my husband waited a few days and called back on wensday they said that the transmission had not gotten there and they would call when it was there. the mechanic had told me my car would be ready on friday.

so i was a little concerned when i called and they said they had not gotten the part .. i called back again on thursday to find out if the part had arrived they said no .. i didnt end up getting my car untill friday.. but when i turned on my car. it sounded like somthing horrible had crawled up into my engine and was stuck.. i drove it home .. and let my husband listen to the car. he said there was somthing still wrong with it and we needed to take it back .. so once agian we went back to the place so that they could fix it .. the mechanic jumped in to my car like it was no big deal and said " ohh yea there is an exhaust leak .. the exhaust pipe broke while we were fixing your transmission .. bye then i was furious they broke somthing and didnt even have the balls to tell me or my husband they broke it untill we brought it back .. i left my car there and said fix it because it was not right .. i picked up my car yesterday and my car still sounds horrible on top of i have grease all over the front and side panels as well as the hood of my car .. that they didnt even bother to wipe off.. these people shouldnt be in business they do shotty work now im going to have to come out of pocket to get my car fixed because they are too lazy to fix what they broke seeing as they think they fixed it the best they could .. and it still sounds horrible.

We try very hard to provide honest, accountable, profesisonal service to our valued customers.

We realize the importance of making sure every vehicle we repair is done to the customers satisfaction and to our own standards of ethical, conscientious, knowledgable, and customer friendly work.

We realize and embrace that every customer wants and needs to trust us with one of their most necessary and valuable assets and when something goes wrong, we try to make it right regardless of cost or time.

The vehicle in question was trusted to us to repair a transmission that had failed. The vehicle was a warranty car sent to us as part of our being a Car Hop trusted repair facility.

The vehicle had previously had been repaired at another shop for a rusted, broken exhaust header. That shop had tried to weld the header break and had not done a sufficient job to withstand the normal stresses of repair. Removing the transmission requires the removal of the exhaust header and failed when we removed it to access the transmission. The previous shop had removed so much necessary material that we could not re-weld after their welds.

We contacted CAR HOP warranty department to inform them and also tried to contact their customer but were able only to reach CAR HOP who refused to pay for the exhaust issue and the customer did not respond to us wanting to fix the exhaust correctly.

We like to fix cars right the first time. We share our frustrations with the customer and take full responsability for any communication lapses.

We will continue to improve our communicating important issues with our customers and hope that we can assist this customer in any way they need in the future.

Thank you for allowing us to improve by your feedback and continue to service our customers car repair needs.
