LM Designing Lisa Romanello LM Designing illegally charged my credit card and stole over $4,000 from me Los Angeles , Internet
LM Designing ran charges of $4,400 against me and I never received a working website or anything else from them.
I was not assigned a designer upon signing the contract with LR Designing on May 7, 2012, but I was assigned a project manager, Tyler, who proved elusive and uncommunicative. From May 7. On May 9, I spoke to him by phone. During this call he told me we would be communicating daily to get the website done in one month. He emailed me only a few times and then the last email I received from him was May 14. I sent him emails that went unresponded on May 17, 19, 21, 22, 29, and 30.
I also called and left him phone messages on these days. I also called the owner of LR designing, and various staff to get a status on my site. From May 14 to May 30, I heard nothing from this company. Finally, on May 30, I spoke to someone there, Ara, who told me that the company was in chaos, Tyler was fired for not doing any work and that Lisa [the owner] wasnt working because she had just given birth a few weeks ago. Lisa finally answered her phone on May 31st and when I asked her about Tyler, she told me that I fired him because he wasnt doing any work.
I never approved the sample layout. I never approved the design on any of the pages, so the creation of this screenshot is bogus. Because Tyler was fired before I gave my approval of the design and the go ahead to move to Phase II, everything got muddled. This was the last message I had with Tyler about the design of my site: (Note the date, May 16, is after the day that I stopped hearing from him, so I never received a reply to my message to change the current layout of the website).
So while I did have a project manager initially, he was fired for not doing any work, so for almost the entire time they were supposed to be working on my site, I didnt have a dedicated project manager. She did hire someone else Charles for a week in early July, and I had to start all over with him only to have him leave in a week. When I did talk to him he would say things like Its really bad working here. This did not exactly inspire confidence.
I initially spoke to Lisa Romenello, the owner, on May 6 about hiring them. I asked her if she could get my website done in 3 weeks, the amount of time a competitor quoted. She said no, that the turnaround time for a good website was usually 2 months BUT that she could fastrack my site and get it done in 1 month if I hired her and not the other company I was considering.
We signed the contract on May 7 and I started submitting information on May 8. On July 2, the site still wasnt close to finished. I finally became completely fed up in early July with this company. I terminated my contract with LR Designing after almost exactly two month, which made the website almost one month overdue.
