I took my 1998 Dodge Neon into Locklear's Dodge- Kia on April 26 for mechanical problems. First of all I authoized a $79.99 fee for a diagostic test. I was advised that the problem was a Cam Sensor and that the fee would be 329.00. I authorized the charge.
It took two days for them to have my car ready meaning I had to rent a car for two days. The day after getting my car out of the shop I had to take it back for the same problem. The car was put on the computer again, this time I was informed it was the catalytic convertor and PCM and that I was looking at over 1,000 dollars. I refusedthis only to have to take the car back in May to have the PCM(new computer put in the car)I was assured that this would fix the problem and that the cost of the part would be around $500. This did not fix the problem and my car broke down and had to be towed back to the shop and I was forced to pay the towing bill even though It was in their possession. They put it back on the computer and Finally said It was a faulty wire, This bill cost me 565.08 meaning I did not need the PCM also I had to rent a car for five days bringing my total to around 1,500. When I asked about the possibility of an adjustment I was informed that If I wanted my car Id pay the bill. I have tried newmerous times to talk to the owner and have been unsuccessful!
