Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

This morning I received a call like all the others from "Brad" after listing my car for sale on cars.com 2 days ago. As an employee of a legitimate 501c3 organization, I am deeply disturbed that Longwood appears to be using an organization that helps disabled people as a front for their annoying (if not illegal) business. If you would like to help stop Longwood, you can try reporting them to the FCC for illegal telemarketing at www.complaints.donotcall.gov.

OR, more seriously, take-up this issue with the IRS. I have filed a form 13909 "Tax-Exempt Organization Complaint Form" and urge you to do the same. www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/13909.pdf. You will need their EIN, which is 54-0924145. In their tax-exempt IRS filings, they list their address as PO Box 1025, Bedford, VA 24523. For "nature of violation" check "Organization is engaged in commercial, for-profit business activity." As an interesting side note, their filing for 2009 shows a nearly $400,000 increase in revenue over 2008. Wonder if this has anything to do with their for-profit activities. Although all organizations need revenue and it is not against IRS regulations for a 501c3 to earn income, it is against regulations to fail to list organizational activities. All Longwood admits to the IRS is that they offer "training for mentally and physically handicapped." No mention of an auto sales service anywhere on their tax return.

I hope this offers satisfaction for some of the frustrated people who've posted. Peace and justice for all.
