Lucas Honda Salesman lied about financing to hook my daugher and son in law on a new car Jacksonville Florida
My daughter and son in law went to purchase a new car before my son in law shipped out to boot camp. They signed a contract with specific cost for car, including interest rate, payment, etc. They spoke with the salesman several times before my son in law left to make sure everything was in place.
The day after my son in law left the company called my daugher to say the financing had fallen through and they would either need to sign a new contract or get a different car at a lower price and higher interest rate. 8 days had passed since they had signed the contract. The salesman knew which day my son in law was leaving. His timing was too suspicious.

We've read about that scam before. I know it bites, but you say you only have two options. One, sign a different contract or two, get a different car at a lower price and a higher interest rate. You have a third option. It is to say NO THANK YOU. Give them their car back, if you have it, and take your business someplace else. Don't stand for this ripoff scam. If more people would do this, these dealers wouldn't try it as often. Your son might not need a car for a while. He won't need one in boot camp and he might not need one in his next school. Good luck.

I believe that they took advantage of your son-in law. They took advantage of me when a short time ago too. I purchased a car from them about 2 years ago. I was totally ripped off too. I did not know any better, and they were very happy to take advantage. I had establised credit but I got an interest rate of 21%. They also charged me 7k more than the car was worth. I am soo upside down it is crazy, and the bank they sold the loan to is terrible. I would warn anyone whom I care about to not shop there.
