I purchased a carwash at this location. went through the
process. I drove to nearby grocers and upon exiting my
vehicle noticed that not only was there a great deal of
dirt still on my car, but that now it was mixed with car
wax, or whatever chemicals they use.
After grocer's, I drove back to the Mobil station to ask
for either a second carwash or my money back. The
young (and obviously inexperienced) manager, Mr.
Sairafe, was almost immediately combative, insulting
my car maintenance, and claiming "self evidence"
that his "car wash" service would not wash my car.
I admit that, yes, it had been 3 months since my car
was last washed, and that it was MODERATELY dirty.
Thus my need for a CAR WASH. I suggested that if
his service was only designed to wash cars that were
ALREADY CLEAN, then his attendant at the entrance
to the wash should have advised me that the equipment
would be ineffective.
The manager immediately claimed
that he would neither re-wash nor return my $7.99 (with
a $2.00 discount for purchasing $24.19 worth of gas
from his establishment).
This should have been an open-shut case. Return my
$4.99 for a job obviously badly done (i have jpeg photos
for anyone who wants to see the condition of my car post
"wash"...or he could have run the car through the wash
again leaving a happy customer.
Instead he chose to be insulting and intransigent.
There should be a disclaimer at the entrance warning
that the "Car Wash" will not actually "wash" anything.
Or change the name to "Car Wax".
Very Bad customer service at this estblishment.
