I too was ripped off by m6.net.

I signed up for webhosting, annual prepaid account. Mail never worked, their Plesk system kept spitting out fatal errors.

I submitted my request to cancel my account via their sales/billing website within the 30 days required for their money back guarantee, with 5 days to spare infact. Someone promptly closed the ticket, but never sent me an acknowlegement.

When I noticed I wasn't getting my money returned I contacted them again asking why I wasn't getting my $120 back. They replied stating that the request can only be honored if someone acknowleges my request. Basically the received my request, closed the ticket and chose to ignore me until after the 30 days had passed.

I included copies of the errors their system kept giving me, explained that I never got my email to work (service promised) and copied the dated request I originally sent them, which I copied off their sales/billing website.

They tried to tell me that their user agreement clearly states that someone needs to acknowledge my request and included a copy of said agreement, but it didn't say any such thing. What I did get out of their user agreement is that if I don't get them to reply to my request to cancel my account with them, they will bill my credit card again next year.

After atleast a dozen emails, they finally told me they would close my account, but still refused to honor their money back guarantee.

This company states they are located in Texas, the UK and Australia, but nobody answers their phones, ever! They certainly don't return phone calls.

I plan on following up on this, filing my complaints with the FBI's IC3 website and even retaining a lawyer. The loss of $120 doesn't bother me as much as the fact that they blatantly ignored my emails, my website submittal and phone calls until after the 30 day refund period had passed, didn't provide the services promised and denied any responsibility or wrong doing.

Lesson learned: NEVER buy anything online before searching Google or other search engines to see if the company is trust worthy. M6.net is NOT trust worthy. It's a good idea to actually phone the company to see if anyone answers the phone durring business hours, or any hour for that matter.

I strongly urge everyone who has been ripped off by this company, and I'm discovering literally hundreds of us, that they contact their local FBI office, file a complaint at Internet Complaint Crime Center (IC3) at http://www.ic3.gov; Better Business Bureau at http://www.bbb.org and the Consumer Protection Agency at http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/index.shtml.
