Purchased an expensive mattress, from Macy's Parkchester, N.Y. Store, approx, August, 2003. Noticed the matress was threading in several areas of the bed.
Notified Macy's, sent out inspector,Rodney, no last name, I pointed several areas of the bed that the pulled treads were prominent-he said he would only have to see one thread, to suggest that the mattress was damaged.
He said that he would put in his report, and that I should be receiving a new mattress by Christmas.
Not hearing from Macy's, I called and spoke to Stephanie Oaks, supervisor, Bedding and matresses, Cinn. Ohio, who informed me that according to the inspectors report, nothing was wrong with the mattress, and I was not entitled to a new one-this was completely opposite from what he told me.
I was infuriated, and told Stephanie I would be contacting their corporate office, and the BBB of N.Y., she replied she would make a note of it. I was infurated, because this same incidence, happened many years ago, regarding a mattress, whereby the trucker, who picked up their mattress, never handed in the pick-up ticket, therefore, Macy's said I was not entitled to a new mattress. I should have learned my lesson,
Macy's is no longer a reputable company.
