In March of 2017 I took my Jeep Commander to Will at Auto Pro's for a simple CEL light diagnosis, oil change, and tow vehicle maintenance check. I use the Jeep to pull my 20ft travel trailer and I am a stickler for things being safe and working right. Will is aware of this. After a day at the shop with my Jeep, he called to tell me that the CEL light was resolved, the oil was changed, and the front wheel bearings were bad. He quoted me $1100 for the wheel bearings, and repairs that were already made. I approved after reminding him that I want only OEM Jeep/Mopar parts and he cheerfully assured me that I would have only the best parts on my vehicle. The next day I paid Will $1700, $600 more than the initial quote. There were other costs associated with the wheel hub assemblies. i paid the bill and left. Before I could get in my driveway ( 5 miles ) the CEL was back on. I took the car back to Will. 

The next day I called to check on the progress. His wife answered the phone and I asked her where Will bought the wheel hub assemblies. She said that he walked down to O'Reilly's and bought them there. I called O'Reilly's and the manager said that the wheel hub assemblies that Will bought for my Jeep were the house brand with a one year warranty - $179.00 per side. Will had charged me $400.00 per side for OEM parts. I was HOT. 

For the sake of time and clarity, let me cut to the chase. When I picked the car up after he had it the second time, the CEL came back on again, and this time it was also squealing from the front end. The brakes were engaged, it barely drove, and I almost had to leave it on the side of the road. I went back to Auto Pros and asked Will to get in and drive it so he could see what it was doing. During that ride I asked Will where he bought the parts. He sat 12 inches from me, looked me in the face and told me " Uh...um...oh, my parts house...." Really? I asked him if they were Jeep parts and he lied again and told me they were. I confronted him with the information that I had from his wife and O'reilly's and he basically called them both liars. He denied his dishonesty right up to the end. It was all I could do to continue dealing with him. 

The bottom line is that after almost $2000.00 I had to take my Jeep home with the CEL still glowing. He never was able to fix it. His lies became more ridiculous as we went, even going so far as to tell me that he ran two inductions on it. I took it to the Jeep dealership and they assured me that he had not done even one induction and they showed me the valves to prove it. they were goo'ed up with thick layers of tar carbon gunk. No throttle body work, no valve work that Will claimed to have done. To hear him tell it he martyrd himself for my Jeep - taking a loss at every turn. i happen to know for a fact that the car sat in a bck bay for most of the two weeks that he had it. 

I wound up paying Jeep another $1100.00 for an induction service, which did ultimately resolve the CEL. They assured me that Will did not put OEm Jeep parts on my car. And they assured me that he did not do half of the work he claimed to have done. 

On the last day that the car was at Will's, he told me that he had a certified Jeep mechanic come look at the car and that his diagnosis was that I had a bad #7 valve and that I should just replace the whole motor. I took my Jeep and went home, so mad I could spit. 

I tried to get my bill reduced down to paying just for the house parts - O'reilly's wheel assemblies. Will would never even admit to buying them. He refused to reduce my invoice. He was catty, smarmy, dishonest, smug and so obviously flawed as a person, I can't imagine how he stays in business. This guy is a thief and I have to say that he staff knows it. I'm sure plenty of others do as well.
