Marquis Construction, Bertram Oce ripoff... dishonest contractor... scam artist... registered convicted felon Hollywood Florida
having a small business practice myself I prefer using other small business owners when I have business to conduct.
My daughter's house caught fire and I asked Bertram Oce the owner of Marquis Contruction in Hollywood Florida if he was able to do the repairs. he advised us that he was a fully qualified Florida and bonded contractor and provided us with a nice portfolio of new homes he had done in Weston Florida.
We gave him the assignment.
Short version he took the money and refused to do the work.
Turns out he was licensed or bonded and was just piggybacking on a painting contractors license (who has sense beeen sued and had her state of florida contractors license revoked)
My daughter is still out over $20,000 and he is still operating some type of contruction business ... beware.
He has been convicted both civally and criminally in court on many charges. Don't let him into your home.
