Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
After searching for a photographer in around Orange county, I came upon Maureen Armstrong photography

After a few calls and discussing terms and location,  she convinced us to set up an outdoors shoot, which could be actually nice if the photographer knows how to light his or her subjects. But it seemed that she only shoots on location , because she has no studio, something we found out much later. Nevertheless, we found ourselves in a ran down alley next to some garbage and trash bins very similar to this  image but worst

Regardless of our reservations we finished the agonizing photo shoot, since we had already paid her a hefty deposit.

She was very unfriendly through out the entire shoot. She took 100's of shots without even checking the light with a proper light meter or even changing he camera's setting as the light was changing rapidly  that should have been enough warning that we are dealing with a total amateur. giving her the benefit of the doubt we finished the agonizing photo shoot

After weeks of not returning our calls, she  finally sent us some overly exposed and disgusting photos with the worst possible lighting and quality which were not suitable for anything but those garbage cans she loves to shoot next to

everything about them were bad, the lighting , the harsh shadows, the colors and most importantly the over all quality of the images were worst than anything I have ever seen when we contacted her and expressed our concerns,  she became very rude and abusive on the phone and refused to give us any refund or any sort of compensation.

She completely ripped us off and left the worst taste in our mouth forever. I strongly suggest to anyone planning to shoot with this fake,  phony scam artist photographer Maureen Armstrong , please think twice look at her portfolio and compare and don't trust her portfolio, what you get is allot worst She is far from a pro, more likely a mediocre amateur passing herself as a professional photographer so Buyers be aware!

AS STATED IN THE ABOVE REBUTTAL - THIS IS SHAUN ALEXANDER ALIAS SHAUN HOUSSEINI FAKING THAT HE IS A CLIENT FROM BEVERLY HILLS.  HE MADE THIS FALSE REPORT ORIGINALLY AND IS AGAIN PRETENDING TO BE A FAKE CLIENT.   DO YOU THINK THIS SO CALLED CLIENT FROM BEVERLY HILLS WOULD HAVE ACCESS TO A REPORT MADE BY SHAUN HOUSSEINI?  OF COURSE NOT,  BUT BECAUSE IT'S THE SAME PERSON, HE DID.

AGAIN, HE IS MAKING FALSE REPORTS AND ALLEGATIONS UNDER A FAKE ANONYMOUS SO CALLED CLIENT.

IF YOU NOTICE UNDER HIS FALSE REPORTS IT SAYS AUTHOR FROM BEVERY HILLS.  THE WAY THIS SYSTEM WORKS IS YOU CAN ONLY FILE A REPORT AND FILE A REBUTTAL DIRECTLY FROM THE ORIGINATOR.  AND THIS ORIGINATOR IS SHAUN ALEXANDER ALIAS SHAUN HOUSSEINI NOT A SO CALLED ANONYMOUS CLIENT FROM BEVERLY HILLS.

THAT EXPLAINS WHY HE WOULD POST THINGS OF HIMSELF TRYING TO MAKE HIMSELF LOOK GOOD.  THE FAKE CLIENT FROM BEVERLY HILLS WOULD NOT BE POSTING THINGS ON SHAUN ALEXANDER ALIAS SHAUN HOUSSEINI.

AGAIN, SHAUN ALEXANDER PHOTOGRAPHY, SHAUN ALEXANDER ALIAS SHAUN HOUSEINI IS BEING INVESTIGATED BY AMERICAN EXPRESS FRAUD DEPT., FORMAL POICE REPORT AND INVESTIGATION AS WELL A CIVIL CASE PENDING.
PLEASE READ BELOW MY EXPLANATION AND HOW MY PATH CROSSED THIS SCAM ARTIST.

This report about me by someone calling himself or herself Consumer from Beverly Hills is entirely false.  There are no facts that can back up the claims in the report.  There was no shoot, no photos were taken, and no person will ever step forward to identify themself because no such person exists and this is entirely a fabrication.

I believe it was made by a man named Shaun Alexander, not the famous football player, but instead a sometime photographer and full time scam artist from Los Angeles who has many aliass including Shaun Housseini, because I disputed a charge on my American Express bill after finding out this man was a fraud. This is also the same man who I believe stoled my credit card number made a duplicate credit card and charged over $21,000 in the month of September 2012.  I now have a formal POLICE INVESTIGATION case filed against him as well a CIVIL CASE and American Express Fraud department is investigating him.

Bottom line: just know that this ripoff report about me is fake, and avoid Shaun Alexander Housseini, Shaun Alexander Photography, at all costs. Also know he changes his name and business names frequently.  Here is a Scam Report written about this same man from 2008 with a lists of names that he does business under.
http://shaunalexanderphotography-scam-alert.blogspot.com/

So how did all this happen, and why do I find myself in this strange position of having to defend myself from an entirely fabricated charge? First, I have never even met Shaun Alexander in person, and I certainly didnt set up a shoot.  Why would a professional photographer need me to shoot them?  It doesnt even begin to make sense.  Instead I wanted to learn more about fashion photography so I looked into taking his workshop.
If you go to http://www.Shaunalexanderphotography.net you will see how he advertises for his Fashion workshops.  As listed on his website, his address is 7100 Balboa Blvd, Van Nuys, CA 91406 and his phone is 310 213 7700.  When I contacted him and inquired about his workshops, he said he was only available to do a private one and he asked that I pay him a deposit upfront for the studio, which I did on my American Express.  Note; yes, I actually gave this person my Amex confirmation number as well other information, which I regret entirely.  He also requested that I pay in cash upfront for the daily workshops, $1,500.00 per day, and said he did not take checks, cash only.  Now I know that any time you are asked to put money up front, its a likely sign of a scam but I have had some other wonderful experiences with other workshops.  Plus, his websites are very impressive so I let my guard down.

Three days later I drove to an address with my own model to the Winnetka, San Fernando Valley area, that he said was his studio. He advertises this on his website as LAs best photography studio.  As we drove closer to the address we found ourselves in a very run down residential neighborhood with bars on most windows. I became very uncomfortable realizing something was very wrong with this picture. When we came to the street address I was shocked, there was a long dirty driveway with a older house and a small crooked sign stuck in the ground that said Studio with an arrow.  It pointed to an run down scary looking garage with black curtains that was surrounded by trash and broken down cars. . My instincts told me to leave immediately; we truly felt we were in a bad situation, and nobody was there so we left abruptly.  When he found out, he berated me and bullied me and generally acted strangely, calling me from several different phone numbers repeatedly, telling me that he checked his video cameras and saw that I showed up and therefore wanted to charge me.

We drove to a secure area and I typed in Shaun Alexander photography into my phone and instantly a Scam Alert came up on him. I immediately called American Express, and explained what just took place, and they advised that I dispute the deposit since I felt he was a fraud. American Express later approved my dispute and I was granted a credit to my card. They also advised me to not have any contact with Shaun Alexander due to the precarious situation that he led us into.

Now heres where the story gets interesting.  And unlike his report, this is all factual and easily backed up:  A month later it was brought to my attention that someone had stolen my American Express Credit Card number and charged over $21,000.00!  Fact: The majority of all the fraudulent charges were ironically in the same area that Shaun Alexander works and lives, an area I never frequent. Fact: there is one large fraudulent charge for over $7,000 at a Camera shop in that same area.  Because of the spending pattern, the locations, and the speci?c merchandise purchased it leads me to believe it was Shaun Alexander Housseini.  Its the simplest explanation, and I am pursuing criminal charges against him, as well American Express Fraud department is currently investigating him.

You can ?nd other victims and many of his alias business names here http://shaunalexanderphotography-scam-alert.blogspot.com/ which was dated in 2008, as well others that date back to 2002. I believe he has also used up to 14 other alias names, and has innumerable websites, you can find this information on most background check services, as well see he has been forcible evicted from several properties as well small claims cases against him.

In conclusion: I strongly believe Shaun Alexander Hosseini is only a professional at this defamatory Internet scam artist and bullying behavior.  He even offers free accommodations to unsuspecting women trying to make it in the modeling business which you can see here: http://www.shaunalexander.net/the-fashion-blog/.  We can only guess how many have been victims.  I would encourage them all to come forward.  As a result of this bizarre false posting, I have now had to hire attorneys, talk to the police, and wasted a lot of time.  Unfortunately these Ripoff Reports cost nothing and can never be removed.  Since it is permanent, I wanted to address it head on so people can see my side of the story and judge for themselves.  Which is more credible: a vague posting with no evidence by a person who doesnt even identify themselves, or my account which is totally factual and specific, by a real person who steps forward?  As for myself, I am not portraying myself to being anything that I am not. Im a professional photographer, I love to learn and get better at everything I do.  I take workshops, and just try to grow every day as a person and a photographer. Unfortunately, there are bad people in this world and my path happened to cross one: Shaun Alexander Hosseni.  A lesson to be learned: Do your due diligence when dealing with people over the internet and most important trust your instincts.  As for Shaun Alexander Hosseini, he tried to hurt me via this website and false report, but the truth is always simple and will prevail, and this false report can only backfire.  He has certainly rallied many concerned people to my cause, and he has unwittingly engendered a ton of scrutiny from the police, American Express, and others to his goings-on.  I hope that justice ?nds him and he is prosecuted.

Hey Shaun
Your edit is amazing. Since our workshop I have noticed a huge leap in my photographs already. I rented a studio to see what I had learned, my Final Exam if you will, and I took some amazing pics implementing the techniques you taught me. Even bought a few accessories so eventually I can style my own shoots. I am including my testimonial belowI was very lucky to have the privilege to learn from Shaun Alexander. His technical knowledge of cameras, angles and lighting are what you would expect from amaster photographer of his caliber and his ability to impart that knowledge on to others made learning from him effortless. Yet it was not his knowledge of technical that I took away it was his artistry and passion for his craft. Shaun is a true artist first and foremost and it comes across in every aspect of his workshop. From leaning basic make up, why colors are chosen and how they work with light and out fits, to learning how to completely style a shoot from shoes to accessories and everything in between. It was a true pleasure learning from Shaun. The technical skills I took away from the workshop have already been implemented in my technique to great results but it was the artistic license that I garnered from the work shop that have a value placed on it. Thank you Shaun Alexander.Spiros Samaltanos    Ive been a Cosmetologist for the past 22yearsIn that time I have had the opportunity to work with some of the INDUSTRY GREATS! But it wasnt until I was connected with the  World Renowned Shaun Alexander, that I understood what fashion photography really was.  Never have a met a photographer so talented.  His style is unique and in my opinion its a work of art. Having come from an extensive commercial background, I was enamered to caress the pages of my book with such strong fashion greatness!  Im so suprised, and privilaged to have someone like him right here in Los Angeles, and Lucky that he has not left us for fashion capitols  like New York or Europe.  I cant express what an honor It is to have someone like him in my repetoi of networks I am SCREAMING HIS NAME from coast to coast.   INFACT I  WISH I WAS A PHOTOGRAPHER, so I CAN STUDY, APPRENTICE, and/or LEARN from This Master Of Photography   He is absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!!
OH!  Did I mention He Styled and did Makeup for the shoot?  Hes a Pleathra of Talent!
Celebrity Hair Master www.daricojackson.com    I am very much thankful and grateful to work with Shaun, He is trully a professional and talented photographer. His creativity is outstanding and awesome! I didnt expected that he provided me from his workshop a three wonderful and fabulous models for two days.  His is very cool, generous and friendly in his nature in sharing his techniques and ideas.  I am recommending not only to myself for another work with Shaun, but also to those who love and looking for a real photography.  I got all that I needed in 2 days.Arnold G. Tecson.    What else could I really say about Shaun Alexander besides one word? Amazing!
I am very new to this world of modeling with little experience so truth be told I was nervous. Having said this, it had little to no effect on this top fashion photographerat all. Shaun Alexander is so talented and a true artist that he could use even the most inexperienced models and turn the photographs into absolute divine pieces of art work. He truly knows how to make a model feel beautiful and comfortable even while posing in 6' stilettos. His energy and passion for photography completely radiates. I am still amazed at how he could pick up any piece of clothing, accessories or a prop and create a BEAUTIFUL fierce image. I am honored to have worked with the one and only Shaun Alexander Thank you again for such a positive, fun, and educational experience/photo shoot.Brittany P.    Just finished an incredible second day of shooting with Shaun Alexander. What an amazing day! He really provides a complete experience.Beautiful Models, fantastic hair stylists, amazing make-up and styling, and access to a beautiful photography studio. But most importantly, he really gives you access to his years of experience as a top fashion photographer. We covered an incredible amount of information in a few days, everything
from technical lighting concepts, photo-retouching/artistry, down to the subtleties of directing and bringing out the best performances from your models.
All of this while at the same time making the entire process fun, spontaneous, and very very hands-on. I cant wait to get back to my studio, and try to perfect and experiment with the techniques and ideas from the workshop. So i can schedule another one as soon as possible!!!Thanks again Shaun for an incredible experience,
Gianni Skolnick
and 100's more like this.
