I researched the web for months on MBT shoes and how to buy. I found no warnings for buying online so after careful consideration and lots of saving I finally purchased what I thought was a good deal.
The company charged my account but the next day I received an email that they didn't have the correct shoe. However they had a better shoe they would give me for the same price. I had to get resized for the particular shoe then ordered the correct size.
Unfortunately I received the wrong size (vendors fault) and the vendor would not send the correct size or give a refund. 'It would cost them too much money' they said - even though it was their fault. They also mentioned that I should do something nice and give them for free to a friend and then buy another shoe from the site and I would get $15 off that purchase! After many emails I could only laugh at their excuses - but fact is I paid for a shoe and I'm now stuck with a shoe that doesn't fit.
Website are:
http://www.mbtantishoes.com
http://www.antishoes-mbts.com
http://www.all-mbt.com
http://www.mbts-wholesale.com
http://www.mbtsoutlet.com
...and many more...
I have searched the web and I'm sure there are many more sites. They all have the same images, font, have an orange 'shopping' cart icon on site tab, and similar gmail contact email (usually the lucky number 8 in it!).
I just want to warn other shoppers out there. MBT is aware of the sites but I see no warnings...! hmmm (however MBT US will exchange the shoes but only if you are in the US unfortunately).
Good luck shopping,
A sad non-owner of MBT shoes.
