First off MDS is not non-profit, they are a communications corp. A buisiness ! They call for non profit and conservitive organizations. They charge for every completed call- a little different thant the way you made it sound... and the charge covers the long distance charges for the call, as well as the postage and printing costs for any pledge letters mailed out. The company pays between $11.00 and $14.00 an hour . With that kind of pay you can bet you will be held to a higher standard. The training is as good as if not better than any other call center. And by the way who cares what the trainer looks like or who shes married to? Does he work there? then who cares!
If you were termed its because you couldnt or didnt do your job, the goals are set by what the room average is; thats what everyone around you is raising in that program, yes some of the asks are high but you can accept gifts as low as even $5.00.
They let you know coming in the door that they are a Christian company, they dont insist you pray, just that you be quiet while they do. Nobody forced you to apply, nobody forced you to take the job and nobody forced you to stay. Get your facts straight, and stop being bitter about ypur situation . If it was that bad why did you stay for two years?
