After paying $20 co pay for 8 years on 90 day script for Prevacid a generic became available. I asked Medco if I could have brand name for same co pay now that generic is available. They claimed not to know. I told them if the brand name was available at $20 then send it. If not, send generic. They sent generic a week later. 3 more days later I receive another 90 day scritpt of brand name from them. I checked my credit card and had been billed $178.55 co pay for the brand name and $10 for the generic. I called the company to return the brand name and was told I could send it back for a refund by Diane. Obviously had I wanted brand name only, they would not have sent the generic.I spoke to 4 different people who all gave different stories and all stories were diametrically opposed - clearly the truth was not being told. Andy also told me I would receive a return pack and would be refunded my money upon receipt of the Prevacid. Jamie responsed to my email and actually even told me my doctor sent in two scripts - one generic and one name brand - this proved to be another lie. Jamie told me also tha tI "Would not" receive a refund even if I sent the drugs back. Robert told me there was only one script and that they altered it to "Brand Only" because he claimed he listened to my original call recording and reported to me that I said I definitely wanted name brand. I asked to hear the recording and he did not let me hear the recording - hw would only tell me what I said. My BCBS rep told me they get complaints all the time about Medco pulling this type of scam. Name brand drugs are more profitable so they offered to refund my $10 for the generic drugs if I returned them. How do I know they wouldn't  rescidn THAT offer like they did the offer to refund the Prevacid. Of course, that would only increase my cost average per pill so they knew I wouldn't take that option. They are as dishonest a company as you will ever find - they circle the wagons like pros - 5 of them showed their wagon technique to me -avoid Medco or you will eventually be sorry.

PS, until this incident, I had to jump through several hoops annually to get refills but I saved prescription costs by doing it so I did it. Now they want those drug cost savings back and they are willing to lie to get them.

Everyone with whom I spoke or coreresponded was untruthful. No exceptions.
