He recommended I undergo a procedure where he would inject medication pellets in by butt, and this would correct the problems. The meds were prescribed to me to help me tolerations severe lower back problems. The other option is surgery fusion of the lumbar area from L3 to S1. Because of my age and the fact I have diabetes the surgery was not recommended.

My family Dr had been treating my chronic pain up until last year, and he was not able to treat my pain any longer, and recommended me to Dr Edwards because he was licensed Pain Treatment Dr. the meds (Oxycodone & Cymbalta) helped with the pain, but I suffered all the side effects of them. In December last year he had me fill in a report of how his treatment was helping and specific questions about side effects.

When I saw him in office in January of this year he’d did some blood test. When I saw him February 4, 2019 he discussed with me the lab results. He was very concerned about the results, he was very apologetic and said unfortunately in treating my pain, the treatment caused all my other issues. He recommended a procedure (BioTE) where he would inject these medicinal pellets into my upper butt, and it would correct my side effects and allow me to regain my health and physical vigor i previously enjoyed.

He said that it could be done in his office and only took 15-20 minutes. He also prescribed me some vitamin complexes that would work along with the pelet. He said he needed to contact BioTE for the individual combination of meds he needed to use based on my lab work. He numbed my butt and with a special tool he inserted the pellets into me.

The procedure would start working in 7-14 days and after 4-6 weeks I would feel normal again. The procedure would work for up to 6 months, and if I was happy with the results, he would repeat it as needed.the procedure and vitamin complexes were not covered by Medicare, and was expensive (over $800.00, but if I got the results he said I would it would be worth it. After 3 weeks, I must say I do feel better.

The day after my appointment I was watching the evening news, and watched in disbelief as Federal and local officials raided his office. Nothing yet has been released about what took place. I called his office today to confirm my March appointment, and was informed that the clinic was TEPORARILLY CLOSED. NEED TO FIND A NEW PAIN CLINIC.

This evening I checked on line about the BioTE procedure and found it was under investigation as it caused serious heart and health issues. If Rhee is a way the pellets can be removed, I need to know before it’s too late.

I am contacting you because I don’t know what to do.

I am 71 years old and on a fixed income is Dr Edwards responsible or is BioTE?
