MedPlan stolen money deducted $ from account without permission then did not refund Several phone calls several lies no mgmnt avail to resolve Albany New York
At the beginning of April 2002, I received a phone call from a solicitor who told me about this wonderful medical insurance plan. I was told that lasik surgery woudl be covered 80% and I had a 30 day free look period. I never received the packet, but found the deduction of $349 out of my checking account. I contacted them, had them send me another package, didn't receive it.
On 4/30, I cancelled it and asked for my money back. There would be no problem. It would take 8 weeks for the refund. No refund. Contacted them again, said it would be another 8-12 weeks. Still NO refund. I spoke to several people. Asked to speak to a manger. They plugged me into a voicemail that was full! Called back again, they said there weren't any supervisors to help me. Plugged me into the same voicemail. Was told that there was a problem with the company performing the refunds and that several other companies were having the same problem. They hoped to have it straightened out in another 8-12 weeks. I contacted them again just last week (12/4) and was told the checks were due in this week. Another lie. They closed!!!!
