We received the mailer in 2005, when we first moved to IN. Same flyer as another guy I saw on here, to win the free car. (haha) Listened to the pitch, and thought that it was the same thing as Direct Buy, so we figured it was safe, and would pay off. BOY, were we wrong!! We tried 5 or 6 times to find SOMETHING that we could save money on, but would always find it cheaper somewhere else. (especially ASHLEY furniture...we were REALLY disappointed that we couldn't get better deals on furniture) I finally bought a set of waterless cookware, and according to them, it saved me money. They STILL had a guarentee that if I didn't save $500 (or something like that) they would refund the difference?? It's been so long, I can't remember, however, I DO still have my paperwork, so maybe I'll look it up. Anyway, to be honest, we called and complained, sent a letter to the business, and they responded with their typical GARBAGE about the contract, and how you can't get out of it. (I still have their response, too) You would think that with sooo many ppl unhappy, more ppl would report them, but I didn't know how. Within the year, we moved, and that's when we realized that it was a LOCAL company, and we wouldn't even be able to use our membership anywhere else. (Why order something that takes so long to come in, and it has to be shipped to Merrillville, so we would have to pay more to have it picked up!!) So, my husband said to write it up as a loss, a bad financial mistake for a newly married couple. Lesson learned, right? Anyway, tonight I was searching on ebay, and came across this, and decided to share my voice. I don't know if I'll ever get my $1800 back, but it did teach me a lesson. I wish more ppl would complain. It would be AWESOME if we could get a class action lawsuit going. :) Just sayin...
