First off, it is amazing that there is a website that lets you post anonymously attacking individuals or business' and then turns around and tries to charge you to remove the black mark.
The individual who wrote the post about Mile High Roofing & Repair called us and asked us to give her a estimate for a new roof on the house she and her husband just bought. We went out and measured the roof and provided them a estimate for the replacement of the roof. We told the homeowner that the shingles currently on there home were T-lock style shingles which are not manufactuered anymore and that if they received any storm damage to the shingles their insurance company would replace the roof for them.
A few months later she called us back and told us that the wind had damaged some of the shingles on the roof. We met with her Insurance Company Adjuster and they approved the replacement of the roof. The insurance companies intial estimate did not include any of the required items to bring the roof up to code for the city of Arvada, CO including ice and water shield, drip edge, ventilation, etc. We sent in our estimate to the insurance company and they approved the payment of the code upgrades and sent out the supplement check for this and the permit once we completed the roof. Thats where the extra money came from.
As far as the $500.00 that the homeowner had to pay, that was their insurance deductible, which we discounted by $500.00, it was originally $1000.00. This is their responsibility to pay and that amount is subtracted by the insurance company from there estimate and payment for repairs. So in essense this lady is complaining about getting a brand new roof which cost $8500 with all the code upgrades for $500.00 out of pocket.
