Hi all. I wanted to make public record of this so that anyone searching for information on MobilePlaza.com would find this. I bought a phone from them and have regretted it ever since. Here is the text of my complaint to the BBB. Not included in the complaint is their slow customer service response time and the annoying habit of making you sign for the Fex-Ex package which means you have to go pick it up at Fed-Ex.
"I ordered a Nokia 6102 with Cingular online from mobileplaza.com. At the time they advertised a car charger as part of the order. After I received the order on 10/21 the car charger was not included. I contacted them immediately and they said it was a mistake that it wasn't supposed to be included and that the advertisement was a mistake since corrected. They claimed that this was okay because despite the online synopsis saying that the car charger was included the invoice did not. I informed them that the reason I ordered from them was for
the charger and that if they weren't going to include it then I was going to return everything. I did so that day. On 10/26, I received an email stating that they are now charging me a $25 dollar restocking fee despite the fact that it was their fault. After moving up the customer service chain three times, they finally said that it didn't matter that it was their fault, but that they had to recoup their loss. I have contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge as well."
