Money Resource Network SCAM ARTISTS - They promise cashback rebates if you purchase products from their site and then never send the check! Internet
I joined this company at the recommendation of a speaker at a free "Stores Online" seminar. For an initial processing fee of $20, you could supposedly shop through the Money Resource Network website for discounted items and qualify for cashback rebates once your purchases reached a total of $50.
I immediately bought printer ink (for a 25% cashback bonus), downloaded one American Idol song from i tunes (for a $15 bonus), and joined a free 7 day trial of Napster (for a $10 bonus). These purchases were all made in Feb/Mar of 2008. I have received nothing in the way of a rebate.
I have contacted Money Resource Network, and was told I should fax them my receipts and they would process my rebate check. The catch was there were no physical "receipts" from either i tunes or Napster since these were not tangible products purchased and shipped. On 4/29/08, I faxed my receipt from the printer ink, and included documentation (Order numbers and Invoice numbers) from the music purchases. Still nothing.
On 6/23/08, I called the company AGAIN to follow up on the status of my check. I also told the representative that I was becoming suspicious of the integrity of their organization, and that I had serious doubts that ANY rebate check would ever be issued. She was obviously reading from a script, and told me once again to fax all of my receipts.
I am extremely disgusted that companies like this exist and would appreciate any help in resolving this issue. Granted, losing $50 is not the end of the world, but letting creeps like this get away with it is maddening!!
