Monterey Bay Salt Co. Monterey Gourmet Salt Co. Loaned the company 10 thousand dollars to upgrade his business. He payed back a small portion. He has not shown me what he did for his company...no reciepts...nothing. He keeps where he lives secret, Internet, Internet

I loaned a man 10k for his business, Monterey Bay Salt Co. He has payed me back one fifth of the money. I sued him and won the case, but he didnt show up for the court hearing. His accountant walked free. I dont know where the rest of the money went. Robert Kirkland will not tell me his home address because he doesnt want to be served further court papers. He is known to lie by many people Ive met, and some have told me he is a shady character at best. One person told me they even felt he was dangerous. I dont have my money back, but I do have the truth.
What is painful about this situation is that the man is going about making his business work ( depends on who he is telling ). He told me twice I put him out of business, yet I see him operating his business with his truck, which has signs on it. I see the tanks he hauls the seawater in. I saw him pumping it right from the pier. He offers classes too. He told me he was going to get seawater from the salt water processing plant...that he had a deal going. I found out that they never struck a deal with him, nor was going to.
Initially, I found he had partners in the business, but niether of them had heard about having an investor. I find it hard to believe his accountant didnt know about that much money coming in.
There's some salty business going on for sure. Last thing mr kirkland said was to consider it a deal gone wrong, FU.
The law is on his side, sadly. I cannot do anything to find him, because of privacy laws. I cant do anything except try to expose him. I have lots of first person stories regarding this man. I should have done my homework before loaning, but hey..too late now!

Recently I asked Mr Kirkland for his business license. He refused and told me he didnt have to give me anything. But then texted me that he had a legitamate LLC license. Here are some facts: He is found on the secratary of states website with business lic. #C3314761 posted as active in 6/2010 but the agent of service is listed as Jerry Chyo, and mr Chyo stated to the judge in May 2011 in court case #MSC132877 that he had nothing to do with Monterey Bay Salt Co. If you search the SOS CA business entity lic #C0427486 you will see the staus of Monterey Bay Salt co as "Dissolved." I also searched the City of Monterey for the company name, and "NO Records Found" came up upon repeated attempts. If monterey bat salt company is licensed, then by The California Corporations code section 17052a states : "The name of a limited liability company must end with the phrase "Limited Liabiltiy" and "Company" may be abbreviated to LTD, L.L.C. and Co, repectively". Monterey Bay salt co website does not end with the phrase mentioned above. Also, the website does not post it's license number. Under the "Contact Us" only mr kirkland's name is shown. Who is the US? Certainly there must be an employee in that corporation willing to be forthright and allow a person to check their license? Or is Mr Kirkland the only person in the corporation, listed as CEO with only a P.O box number in Seaside and a phone number? Is Mr Kirkland the only person running this company? Why is this company allowed to keep a posting on the SOS CA website as active with a Agent of Service who really isnt?

First, my check was made out to Monterey Bay Salt co. With the owner's promise to pay back the money. Secondly, the money is not being payed back, and that is simply my complaint. If the owner had attended the court hearing, he would have heard the judge's comment on the fact that the check was written to the company, and it was obviously intended by the owner to pay it back. It has nothing to do with products, but with the company and the owner's honorable business dealings.

I would like to respond mr. schwarzbach coments on the loan. yes i borrowed the funds and were makeing the monthy payments when i went out of town on a short trip7days mr. schwarzbach with out comtacting me called in the loan and took legal action. i tryed to make the payments but he refused and demanded the full amount. which i could not pay he won a judgment against me and continues to threaten and harass me. this person has a number of restraning orders against him from past girl friends. is a sick person who works as a xray tech in monterey and has admitted to takeing photos of women with out there knowledge of there brests and has gone so far as admitting it.
