Morningside Heating & Air Be Prepared to be Ripped Off! Covington Georgia
I recently had Morningside Heating and Air come out to my house to take a look at my AC unit. After only 5 minutes I was told by a technician that I needed to replace my whole unit, it had a leak and couldn't be fixed. I stated if there was a way to detect where the leak was and he simply said there's no way to run a test or anything I could do. He said he'd be back in 5 minutes with an estimate and we can take it from there. Well the estimate came back at $2750.00 and I was definitely not going to just say sure going ahead, the technician had a very strong and abusive manner about him. I asked if there's any point in adding any freon to run a leak test and he basically laughed at me, but before I knew it he was having his other guy put in a pound of freon ( I did not ask him to do so, perhaps my question authorized him to go ahead and do it). After all this went down, I felt very suspect of the service thus I called another company (one that a good friend used) and fortunately they came out the next day. To my surprise the new technician stated that there was barely any freon in our unit, he said that the previous company definitely didn't add a pound of freon. He also said that he'd be more than happy to run a leak test, something that Morningside said that couldn' be done.
Be aware of the service pratices that Morningside Heating & Air uses, I wish I had read the other reviews of Morningside Heating & Air because it would've saved me $170.00 that I had to pay for nothing.
