I listed a van for sale in www.thriftynickelads.com and was contacted by TTDY service for the hearing impaired. We exchanged email addresses, now this:

Thanks for the pictures,

Am okay with the price $3,800. Am a Auto dealer,

am presently in west africa for now to take care of my company my self with my clients. Ok no problem, in respect of paymet, I made some orders worth $6,500 from a store in states which was cancelled eventually due to breach of contract. The store management is willing

to pay me in US cashier's check. All i need to is instruct them to send the check to you in the name and address you want it to be nforwarded to.

However, i will like to know if i can trust you to send the remaining balance via western union money transfer to my shipper after you must have cleared the check for him to come for the pickup in your location. If this is ok by you , feel free to email with your information.

Thanks.

Morris.

CAN YOU GUESS WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT???

Good for you Denise. If more people would use a little common sense, this site would not even exist. Only dealing with people who are standing in front of you is the biggest factor in eliminating fraud. Try selling the van on Ebay and putting it in the ad that you will only sell to someone in person. I have buddies who do that and have never been "jacked". Good luck.

No, no transaction took place, I'm not that stupid thanks to this reporting agency and other fraud resources on the internet, but its very interesting how a transaction of similar scam nature was beginning to take place -- and then suddenly "don't email me any more"... I guess he's in a little over his head now. And no, "Robert from North Carolina", he won't be ripping me off.... I hope he didn't get you too.

Nowhere in your missive do you state or even imply that any actual transaction has taken place.
