MotorCars Direct - Tim Slaydeck Chris ?? Fraud! FRAUD! FRAUD!!: Lost $85K Dollars on a trade in for a Porsche Cayenne, in prior accident poorly repaired with no prior disclosure Irvine California
I traded in my 2005 Corvette for a Porsche Cayenne Turbo
CarFax revealed they had bought the car at an auction from Ohio
The car had water damage because the air supply bottle had corrosion all over it when I bought it
When I went to pick it up, they parked the car close to the right wall so I would not be able to see the entire right side car of the car which had ripples in it
I called Chris, the salesperson who said they're was nothing he could do about this...1 hour later!
Later that month:
I spent $900 to replace the front brakes since they locked up, and pads under the minimum 2.0 mil...so they never replaced or checked the brakes
which they said they did
They failed to pay my Corvette Loan off in the first 30 days
It drew my account $1400 over with a host of over charges
I drove the car to them and they asked why I paid to have it done at a local dealership? The brakes were locked up and could not be driven to them
Here is where it gets more interesting
They gave me a loaner car to fix the other problems such as suspension, headlights, horn, all sensors to name a few
The Porsche Dealer in Newport Beach, CA documented that the car had been ina recent accident and very poorly repaired to the point that it needed to be repaired again
They're were mismatching parts, bolts, nuts, and other front end parts
They also said the entire right side of the car had been repaired
When looking at the CarFax report, I believe that there was damage already to the car from Ohio only in water damage
I believe they drove the car for the additonal 800 miles of unaccounted mileage and that is when the accident happened
They poorly repaired the car and put on expensive rims on the car to make it look great
So from the time they bought the car at the auction, someone drove for 800 miles. It is very clear that someone got in accident with the car during this period
If you have ever been there, they have a talent with matching rims to a car. They can bring out the best in a bad car and make it look like new
This is consistent with every single car they have unless bought brand new
I contacted an attorney who did nothing for 8 months. He was too late in filing since they went out of business
So I got a chance to go after them as a creditor, but they're already out of business
I made two bad decisions, the second with hiring attorneys who delayed my chance to file
I gave the car back to the lien holder, voluntarily
They sold it at auction and sent back my new loan
On the back of the loan in small print, is a statement that says I am liable for any problems on the car if needed to be fixed.
The lien holder is welcome to come after me, because I will never pay another cent
I think trading in a brand new corvette and losing $85K is just two of the many reasons why I will not
I have contacted the Attorney General of CA to file a class action lawsuit
I guarantee you they're operating in Orange County or San Diego under another name
The Internet is full of horror stories
Every single employee knowinlgy frauded or particpated or was an accessory to fraud
Especially Tim Slaydeck and Chris (supposively a former LAPD officer) who looks like a fake Tom Cruise
Even when I went back for second time to work with them to get the car fixed, they're was a large man who bought a vehicle and wanted his money back on the spot
He was yelling
I have learned a detrimental lesson lift, being con-ned by a con artist who uses threats to steal
These two and the others need to be stopped
See all the horror stories on the Internet
This is nothing even close to my entire story and what I've suffered and how it has negatively impacted every part of my life
