Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I got two of salesmen and one of them said that he was doing 15 (this is the same number the complaint was filed) houses in my area and he asked me to sign up for their service.

I told him "not interested" but he kept insisting and presenting "the benefits" of not having bugs around the house.

After I told him that I do not buy anything from people that are knocking on my door he said that he used the bell.

I repeated that I am not buying anything from a person standing on my front door, so he asked to come in my living room so he can sell me his services.

I told him that I am not buying anything from him today and he told me that it is not necessary to buy it today, today would be free but I have to agree on a $91.00 per quarter contract.

I told them that he is wasting his time and he cannot get me as a customer but I gladly entertain them and keep telling them NO whole day long. He asked me what I do for a living and I confessed that I am software engineer.

Than he told me that if I knew anything about sales, I would know that sales people do not take NO for an answer. I told him that I understand and that is why I keep insisting and telling him no multiple times hoping that he finally would get it. I even mentioned that his pushing tactics can only lead me to look for another company when I actually need their services.

This is when he told me to go play my computer games and boosted that he made $100,000 in the last 4 months and asked me how much I make playing games.

I don't think it is any of his business but I told him and he told me that I am a layer.

During the whole conversation the guy was staying with one of his feet partially on my door threshold. The whole situation was very intimidating. Good thing, my father-in-law was in the house otherwise I would have been compelled to agree on whatever they want just to get them off my door.

I have no doubt that housewives and elderly would have fallen for that scam and agreed on whatever they want just to get rid of them. I suppose the number of contract cancellations can speak for that.

First of all let me start by saying I have worked for Moxie for 3 years now as a manager and I love the company. Our service offers more pest protection than even the larger companies such as Orkin or Terminix. We offer other courtesies including the dewebbing of homes, full yard treatment, and make them standard for every home. First, I wanted to respond to this and explain our routing which was the first complaint. Our routes generally contain anywhere from 12 to 19 homes per day depending upon the area and time of year. 15 homes is very typical for us, and often times we may have a couple technicians per area. For a salesperson to say this is very reasonable. Second, we did speak with our Eliso Viejo Rep and he said this person was very rude to him from the get go. Apparently the man used foul language when he told him to leave. The representative remembers the individual because nobody else had been that rude to him in his previous 2 years of employement with us. I realize that some people do not prefer to be bothered by someone at their home but I do not think it is fair to yell at someone simply because he has knocked their door. In three years, I have never heard of a representative leaving a foot on the threshold of a door when speaking, nor will they enter a home without being requested to enter. This is obviously against company policy. If this really happened, wouldn't the person have called the police? I know I would have. If the comment was truly accurate, why would you have continued to listen to him if you did not want service. It just doesn't make good business since for a representative to have done something like this. I know our representatives very well and know they are honest people. They may continue to talk about our benefits to ensure a potential customer knows how great we are, but pushy is probably taking it too far. I would tend to believe my employee on this one. I have never in two years had a single complaint on this representative and this just does not seem like his character.
