I do not see where there was a rip-off. It seems very obvious, that you do not maintain your ride. The muffler man told you everything you needed to do to fix your car. All you wanted to do is put a band-aide on a deep open wound. You only wanted to put a wheel and tire on. That way you could still drive at 75 mph without the wheel vibration. You wanted to continue to drive at high speeds and risk your front suspension having a catastrophic failure. You do not write that they did unneeded work. You do not write that they over charged you. They even told you that the wheel and tire needed to be changed. Let me clue you in. It seems that they did everything they should. They were trying to make your ride safe at high speeds. Your issue is that you are angry because they did exactly what they should have done, but it cost you money to make your car right. Obviously your car needed the parts or you would not have given the OK.
