Complaint Review: Munday Mazda - Houston Texas

On Friday 5/22/2009 I called Munday Mazda and ask did they accept the Aircheck Voucher.

On 5/23/2009 I pick a car out and sign some documents and gave them a copy of my SS card.

On 5/25/09 Mr. Green called me state I have been approve and I need to purchased full coverage insurance he had already done that. I called Farmers Insurance and paid the premium. Zach told me to come in and sign papers and get the key and drive off. When I got there it took several hours.

I was escorted to Melba Pedersen office. This is where all papers and contract was sign. I gave Ms. Pedersen a 500.00 check, Aircheck voucher for 3000.00 and sign my title to my 96 Mustang over to Munday Mazda. I received no documents. I was told by Melba Pedersen that copies would be sent to me, and expect a phone interview from the finance company in about 3 days. I was instructed by Zach Green & Melba Pedersen to tell the finance company I gave them a 3000.00 in voucher and 1100.00 dollars in cash down. I should not tell them anything else. Than I receive the key from Zach Green. My Mustang was towed in by Munday on 5/26/2009 Tuesday at 10:00pm.

I never got the call from the finance company it is now about the forth day. I start calling Z. Green and M. Pedersen who was either not in or busy for a couple of days. I waited a day and finally got Melba Pedersen and ask her what is going on. She first state the hold up was the insurance deductible and the finance company wanted to raise the deductible to 500.00, she state it was only 250.00 but it was 750.00. Melba state it was to low but it was OK now. Than she stated my SSN was wrong but it is now fixed. How could my SSN be wrong when they made a copy of my SS card? I than spoke to Mr. Green he told me to expect a phone call either Monday 5/1 or Tuesday 5/2 from the finance company. I never received that called.

I called Mr. Green that Tuesday 6/2/2009 on his cell phone he state he was not in the office. He told me to call Munday and tell the receptionist to look on his desk and give me the Ref# for me to call the finance company and do the phone interview.

I called the finance company and gave reference # and was told my application was sent back to Munday and they could not give me any information. I called Munday and spoke to Melba and she asks where are they 4100.00 and when do I expect to pay. I told her that wasn't the agreement. I told Zach Green what the finance company said. He ask me what did I tell them. I told him I gave the reference # only and than I was told I need to speak with Munday. Mr. Green state he was not in the office and will call me when he get there.

Zach Green called me at 10:00 pm I told him I was going to bed. I felt this was late to be doing business at this hour. Zach state he had another finance company that have already approved me with less monthly notes and not 6 years but 5. He told me to come in Friday after work and do the paper work. I told Mr. Green before I leave his office I want all paper work in my hand along with the contract and finance agreement. He assured me I would.

I told Mr. Green after work I have a Dr's appointment I couldn't make it than but will see him Saturday 6/6/2009 at 10:00am. He said he will see me than.

I went in Saturday 6/6/2009 and was told by Mr. Green his boss James Jackson said since I did not come in Friday night that the deal was off and leave the car. I ask to speak to Mr. Jackson (general sales manager), the receptionist state she could not disturb him because he was with someone. I told her I will wait.

Mr. Jackson than came and ask how I may help you. He told me the same thing since I was not there last night the deal is off. I ask for copies of everything that was signed by me. I followed him to his office. He did not give me my check for 500.00, sign title, car, or Aircheck voucher.

Mr. Jackson refused to give me anything showing that Munday still had these things in their possession. I had personal items in the car that they sold me I had to remove. As I was waiting on my ride, I told myself if I leave there the title is already sign. I could never get my car back. I had no information on the things they had of mine. I went back in and told Cornel Saleem I need a listing of the things before I leave since you will not give them to me.

As I was removing the items from the car, an oriental man who name I do not remember. He had sales manager on his badge come out side. He spoke to my son about the purchase and the disapproval of the financing. I told him this is not any of my sons business and if so not for him to tell. I told him he was violating the privacy act. The oriental manager told me that was my son. I told him SO. That does not give you the right to tell him my business. I was told their business office was close by this manager and I could not get my voulcher, 500.00 ck nor title (at this time the car had already been destroyed). I was also told I need to get my car the best way I know how that they are not responsible for getting it back to me. He walks away. By than James Jackson was back and gave me some papers what he written up with no letter head stating what was owed to me.

I believe this place is a scam. Doing things that is not legal and all who work there know about it.

6/8/2009(my birthday)

I call Air Check Texas who informed me that Munday had received 3000.00 payment for my car and will call me back after she speak to Munday Mazda. Well, Zach the salesman call me around 10:00 am from Munday. He told me to come pickup my 3000.00 check because my mustang had been destroyed and the 500.00 ck had been sent to the bank and he would try get it before it be deposited. I told Zach that they are aware of the stop payment why didn't they stop it along time before now. They knew they was not going to sell me a car. I told Mr. Green I will be there after work.

I arrived at Munday around 6-6:30pm and Zach Green greeted me and told me James Jackson took the check back and told be to deal with Air Check Texas. I spoke to James Jackson, I ask him why was I call to come to pick up a check and now I am not getting the 3000.00 ck, my 500.00 personal check nor the Aircheck voucher back. James Jackson told me I was getting nothing and get a lawyer and sue. I was on the phone with my daughter who I had to call Harris County Police Dept and have them to send an officer out for my records. They sent office Jenkins.

Officer Jenkins listen to both sides separately he than spoke to Mr. Jackson as I stood there. He told James Jackson that this is not a legal act he is doing. Mr. Jenkins state you do not expect for this lady to leave here with nothing (my voucher, 500.00 ck, and sign title). He stated he should make good with the deal and that this lady (my-self) is going to sue and that she has a very good chance she will probably win. He told James Jackson I call him out to get a police report on file but he is giving him an opportunity to work it out with me. Mr Jenkins told me to leave in the New car and for Munday to get me finance by the next day and if any problems I am to call him back out and he will make the report and it would not be in their favor.

6/9/2009

On June 9 at about 10am I received a call from James Jackson stating I was approved and to come in and sign the new contract. I found it very hard to believe he got it finance in less than 6 hrs. I told Mr., Jackson I will be there after work. I ask Mr. Jackson about my 500.00 ck. I also reminded him agan that the ck was not any good I had a stop payment on the ck, which he was already aware of. Mr. Jackson stated he had gotten me a better deal.

I am steal having a consumer issue about the 500.00 ck that was not returned to me as promised.
