I took my car into Music In Motion Crestwood to get a remote start installed at the start of last winter. I would have never gone there due to the companys reputation of being way overpriced and way under trained. However I was given a gift certificate for a Remote Start for my birthday. When I took my car in I met Thomas (the store manager) who explained to me that they have the most skilled technicians in the area and assured me the install would be done right. He told me if I was waiting to have a seat, so I did.

While I was waiting I overheard conversations between Thomas the installers and what sounded like there was a problem with my install. He then went to the back where the shop. So I decided to follow him. When I opened the door I heard him yelling at the tech that was working on my car he said "Just get it done! Just get this f***in car out of here!" The installer was trying to tell him about something wrong with the install. He replied "I dont f***in care! Get it fixed temporarily so it leaves here with no problems, if it f***s up tomorrow its the customers problem."

When he got back up front he told me my car would be done in about 20 min. I asked him what all the commotion was all about and of course he played stupid. When it came time to settle up he wanted me to sign off that the work was done to my specifications and I replied "let me try it out and I'll come back in 48 hours to sign it." He stated I cant release the car to you until you sign. Not until I threatened getting a lawyer involved did he agree.

Sure enough the next day I had a check engine, and an air bag light on. I took it in to ford and it cost me $876.00. They had to replace an ignition harness that they said was "jimmy rigged". When I confronted Thomas about this he refused to pay for it saying "thats why you did'nt sign for it you knew your car had this problem and I'm not paying for it." Music In Motion is by far the worst place of business I have been to. It surprises me how someone in a management position at a company can be so crooked and stupid. Thomas you know who I am and this isnt over. What goes around comes around.

So if you live near Chicago and need to get aftermarket accessories installed in your car steer clear of Music In Motion and its poor management.
