Mutual Roofing And Sheet Metal Ltd Mutual roofing failed to pay thousands of dollars Very Bad Business operations/service Victoria British Columbia
It all started when our company was approached by mutual roofing back in April of 2008. Our company was asked if we had any extra work we could sub-contract out to them. I had a couple of jobs in mind that might fit into their schedule and ours so we agreed with the costs and they proceeded with the work. I was asked and agreed to do some consulting for them to help market their company a little better in the Victoria area we determined a base salary and a truck expense allowance on top of that. I recieved a cheque for the wrong amount which had been agreed upon orginally, I asked Rod Carey to talk to Mac Williar the owner of Mutual Roofing if there had been a mistake. I did not think it was a big deal until the second cheque was also incorrect(no truck allowance or proper pay rate) I was now starting to wonder if I was being taken advantage of. I called Mac Williar on the first week of June to find out what is going on here. He replied"I did not know about this truck allowance. I did not agree to this" Meanwhile Rod Carey (the one in charge of Victoria operations) told me otherwise just to get me on the payroll.After the work was completed we at First Roof recieved a rather large invoice for thousands of dollars more than the original contract amounts (keep in mind I was still working for Mutual. I have not been paid my severance(last two weeks pay)and they have about $4000.00 of my tied up from two other contracts. All I have to say is watch out for these guys,if they treat their own people this way what will they do to you as a business owner/homeowner?
