Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My situation is the same as others I've read, but has a better outcome (for me).

I discovered a charge of $9.95 on my online credit card statement. I know where my card is used to purchase online, and I DID NOT sign up for any trial membership with any vendors. My card has been recently active with eBay, BidPay, and Paypal. I knew immediately that this was fraud.

I had the same experience when calling the 800 number; I provided my name, address and ZIP code when asked and explained why I was calling. The male operator put me on hold for about 7 minutes, during which time I read these Ripoff Reports. By the time he came back I knew what to expect; he wouldn't be able to "find" me and wanted more information. I refused to give him any more data and told him that since I am a responsible buyer and use only credit cards online, MasterCard would be eating the charge, which ultimately results in causing consumers like him, and like me, to pay higher interest rates and annual fees to compensate for the credit card industry losing so much money, just like insurance.

He said that the only way to help me was to find my information in another way, but I informed him that I no longer needed his help once I knew what they were about. I told him his employer thinks they've leeched another $10 from a helpless consumer, but that it comes from all of our pockets in the end from Visa and MasterCard.

The lesson here for those of you who have lost money from your checking accounts and debit cards - DO NOT USE ANYTHING ON THE INTERNET OR THE PHONE EXCEPT CREDIT CARDS WITH AUTOMATIC PROTECTION FOR UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES! Even PayPal keeps asking me to "get verified", but I refuse to provide unnecessary financial information, especially without the protection to back it up. Don't even pay bills via Internet with bank drafts. If you don't trust yourself to get a credit card, or can't get one, don't purchase online. The consequences can be devastating to you.

I am lucky in this case that they only suckered $10 from my credit card company, but I still wouldn't be responsible for it if it were $100 or even $1000.

BE A RESPONSIBLE BUYER.
